I could BARELY cut down to 20 photos for this post 😭😭😭 I was lucky enough to meet of in 2015, after being gifted her pink flamingo skirt from 💖 I reached out to her and met her to film an interview at her gorgeous home in California for my “Boss Babes” series I had for a short time on YouTube (any OGs remember that? 🤣) We’ve been friends since and I’ve been so blessed to work with her professionally also! From photographing her designs, editing photos for her, as well as some social media work- and one year at Viva I even helped her sell a bunch of her amazing designs at her booth at the car show! 💕 On top of all that, I’ve been a huge fan of her designs and these photos are just some of the stuff I’ve been lucky enough to own from her. I’ve had so many fun moments and memories wearing her creations! 😊 I’m so sad to hear that she’s going to stop her clothing line, but I also totally understand how hard being your own small business is! Lucky for me, we’ve become good friends and I know she will continue to make amazing art and be someone I can keep in touch with. Looooove photographing baptisms!!! It was hard to only pick 20 from today to share. God is moving in our church so much and it’s so incredible! I just want every single person I know or meet to come see how good life can be when you put your trust in Him 🙌🏻

Today I turn 40! 💕 Honestly it’s been a bit of a weird moment for me… I don’t feel like I’m 40 yet but also sometimes feel way older! But I do know I am very grateful and very blessed that God has been working in my life for all of these years to put me where I am today! I have an incredible husband and two beautiful children and a very wonderful and lovely life. Going to have a nice relaxing day and eat a bunch of yummy food to celebrate! 🎉

Sunday was such a powerful day 🙌🏻 A little bit of my backstory… I grew up in a Christian church and home. I was baptized when I was around 12 years old. I knew what it meant, but obviously the world and following God is much different as an adult. I walked away from the church for most of my adult life. I never really stopped believing but I definitely didn’t live for the Lord, but for myself and my own desires. A little over a year ago, Mike felt the pull from the Holy Spirit to return to church again. It was an extremely difficult and emotional process for me. After trying another church, we went to where it felt like it all finally clicked into place. They truly care about teaching straight from the Bible in an unapologetic way. They don’t treat their kids services like a daycare but actually engage and teach and play with the kids. I’ve been learning and growing so much. It’s been very difficult and I can feel so much “pruning” happening in my life (read John 15). I’m praying and talking to Jesus and really trying to put all my worries in His hands. It can feel uncomfortable and I know that I am judged by the world for being a believer but God is SO GOOD. All the wonderful things in my life are from Him. So during worship on Sunday and while was preaching, I just kept going over all the reasons to put it off. I wasn’t planning to get baptized that day. I’d been baptized already as a kid. I didn’t invite anyone. I didn’t bring anything. I didn’t know if anyone who be around to take a video or photos for me (luckily .levake and a few others had me covered). And also, was I really a “good enough” Christian to do this. The Holy Spirit kept whispering in my ear “it’s time, you are mine, say to the world that you believe in Me.” So while service was ending and the church was praying, I looked at Mike and said “I want to get baptized” as I burst into tears. And then I just kept crying basically for the next 30 minutes or so 😆 It was so powerful and emotional and special. And having my kids peeking over the top of the little pool while my husband baptized me was so incredibly special and holy. (Cont in comments)
