Can we take a moment to appreciate the little guy's smile? I heard he'd been practicing before the session, and I'd say all that hard work paid off! 😃

Whether it was running through the lavender, playing hide-and-seek, or being tossed in the air, this little dude and his parents were all smiles. IMO: these are the moments worth remembering.

The best part about photographing larger families? Seeing every personality come out and shine in their own way. 💜

This session had laughter, tickle fights, tiny baby snuggles, siblings chasing each other through the lavender rows, and engaged parents soaking it all in.

Amid all the joyful movement, one thing really stood out...the love this family shares. It was clear in every smile, every hug, and every little interaction. 🥰

Hot take: Your next professional headshot doesn't have to be in color. 🖤

Some of my favorite headshots are black and white—including the one I used professionally for years. That's one reason I always love delivering a few monochrome edits.

Without color competing for attention, the focus shifts to something deeper: your expression, your confidence, your presence.

Of course, there's still a time and place for vibrant color (especially for personal brands!), but don't overlook the timeless simplicity of black and white.

This sweet mother-daughter session felt like stepping into a storybook. Flowing dresses, big smiles, and the kind of quiet connection that speaks for itself.

I love capturing seasons of life exactly as they are. Years from now, I hope these photos bring mother and daughter right back to this sunny summer evening in the lavender fields.

Originally from sunny California, I'm now based in Central New York (Syracuse to be exact). And before you ask...yes, I do find the snowy winters to be a bit too much sometimes. 😆

My grandfather was an avid photographer and loved documenting family stories, so I grew up with a great appreciation for photography. And after about a decade in corporate marketing, I decided it was time to get back to what I really love: the chance to be creative, artistic, and work closely with people.

So, whether it’s a cozy family morning, a special milestone, or fresh brand photos for a small business—I'm here to help tell your story.

I finally get to share a few sneak peeks from this year's Lavender Mini Sessions, and I couldn't be more excited.

My home office looked a little different recently...for an afternoon it transformed into a mini studio for a headshot session. And it was so much fun! 📸✨

If you ask me, the best formula for professional headshots has nothing to do with airbrushing or a super stylized wardrobe. It's all about helping someone feel confident in front of the camera so their personality can shine.

I loved helping this client refresh their professional image, and I'm excited to share a few favorites.

(P.S. Whether I'm photographing a growing family, a small business owner, or someone updating their LinkedIn profile, my goal is always the same: to create images that feel natural, approachable, and authentically you.)

It’s hard to believe the baby behind this bump is now 18 months old! But seriously, where did the time go? 😭

It was an honor to capture these special moments at the start of a beautiful new chapter. Even with lots of snow on the ground, I swear you could feel the warmth coming from these glowing parent-to-be. 🤍

The sun was bright, but these smiles were even brighter! 😎

I've never had time fly by so quickly at a session before, but before I knew it, we were almost done.

This fun-filled group was game for anything, showed me where to find hand-painted rocks, and gave me a new appreciate for Mario and Luigi (you had to be there).
