Don't let this peaceful face fool you...Zoey Serval is one of the spiciest servals we care for at Carolina Tiger Rescue! We just happened to capture this photo of her in the middle of a cat nap.

Zoey came to us from Hendersonville, NC after she was discovered in a garage in a small crate standing in a couple inches of her own f***s. The couple who owned her were being served arrest warrants for another issue, and when they realized what the cost of getting permits was going to be to keep her legally they decided to give her up. She was taken to a veterinary clinic and fed a diet of spinach and corn. When Carolina Tiger Rescue staff arrived to pick her up, she was incredibly cooperative when she realized we had chicken!

Servals have become extremely popular in the pet trade and Carolina Tiger Rescue has seen a significant increase of owner surrenders and confiscations in recent years due to their popularity. It is important to remember that they are wild animals and should be treated as such. They are !
