Summer Tanager 🧡❤️

These photos were taken early summer at South Carolina Botanical Garden in Clemson. This was my first time spotting this gorgeous bird, and I was pretty excited to add it to my life list! I was able to watch this guy for quite a while, and I even saw him catch a few snacks. It’s not just about snapping photos for me - it’s about experiencing these beauties in the wild and being surrounded by God’s amazing creations. Being immersed in nature is one of the ways I find peace and escape from the rest of the world for a moment.

Dry Falls | Highlands, NC 🩵

This is the first waterfall I’ve been to where there is a path that goes right under/behind the falls. It was definitely worth the stop, and it’s an easy walk down a paved path and a few sets of stairs. There’s even a viewing platform right off the parking lot if stairs aren’t your thing.

If you love chasing waterfalls, I recommend adding this one to your list!

This Red-shouldered Hawk posed for me in a few different trees a few weeks ago, and I loved every minute of it. I’m always so amazed by these gorgeous birds. ❤️

Eastern Bluebirds. 💙

We have had at least 3 pairs of bluebirds nesting in boxes around our yard this spring. I love watching the parents take turns guarding their nest and then take turns bringing food back to their babies once they’ve hatched. I haven’t seen many fledglings appear, so I just have to hope that they made it and went to safe places. The closer you get to nature, the more you see how wild it really is. But it’s also so incredibly beautiful, especially when you take time to notice the little things.
