Just when I say im done for the year this pops up. There is a 2 percent chance of a tornado or two near the Mitchell, Huron, Wessington springs, Sioux falls areas. A cluster of supercells look to develope later this evening and into tonight moving north east along a warm front. Other hazards include egg size hail and 60 to 70 mph wind gusts. Im not sure if I will be in the field today or not but will certainly try to be.

I think my 2026 chase season is wrapped up. I lost my weather station to a pheasant on Monday and things appear to be quitting down a bit. Its about time to start focusing on winter, equipment, and getting the rig ready for next year. This year I have...

Chased in 5 states
Lost 1 window
Lost 1 weather station
Did a virtual presentation on weather for a children's school in Uganda.
Took some pictures with a fan in Wolsey SD
And helped with relief in Highmore SD.

This year has been an amazing year and I am grateful for every mile that I covered. I am even more grateful for the people I have been able to provide updates and forecasts to, you are why I do this. Thank you so much for an amazing season and I look forward to covering the 2026-2027 winter season for you!
