✨A little update✨

With the recent legal developments surrounding Al-generated imagery and the growing misuse of children's photos online, l've decided to take a more proactive approach to protecting the children I'm trusted to photograph. Now if parents choose to post to their personal pages where they can control their privacy, that is absolutely 💯 their choice and I love to see all the kind comments on sessions I do!♥️

Moving forward, I'll not be posting direct full face photos of children on my photography social media, I am absolutely still photographing families and children. I'm simply choosing not to further post children's faces publicly.

Being a lifestyle photographer it is easy to be a little more creative with posing and storytelling so I can still share the beautiful moments I capture with your families while keeping little faces out of my public portfolio. It is something I ALWAYS have asked before even starting to edit, is if parents were ok with their children being posted and I will and always have respected their wishes. And I still want to share your beautiful families, but it a more protected way!

I also want to put out there because it is apparently a thing among photographers, is I will NEVER and have never charged clients an additional fee for not being able to post their photos! Yes they may be my work, but your privacy is not above my privilege! And honestly it's a big ICK if a photographer charges you because of your right to protect yourself and your children!!

Thank you for understanding and for trusting me with your most precious memories. As a photographer and a mom, protecting our kids will always come first!

What most photographers won't tell you is....YOU DON’T NEED 10 OF HOURS OF PHOTOGRAPHY TO HAVE A BEAUTIFUL WEDDING! Especially if you are doing something intimate and low key!

Actually… we think sometimes you need less.

I've photographed dozens of traditional weddings over the last 17 years to know what happens when a timeline gets stretched just because someone thinks a wedding photographer is supposed to be there all day.

Waiting.

Standing around.

Waiting some more.

And eventually photographing the same cocktail-hour candid from approximately 47 different angles. 😂

That’s not what we’re interested in especially when you’re planning an intimate wedding or elopement. But absolutely no hate to photographers or couples who do!

We’d rather help you build a day around the things you actually want to DO.

Want to hike to your ceremony?

Want to have ch*****ne on a mountaintop?

Absolutely.

Want to have dinner with your favorite people and then sneak away for the most beautiful sunset portraits just the two of you?

Our sweet spot is 4 to 6 hours of intentional coverage because we want your photographs to reflect an experience you actually live, not hours of waiting around for something to happen when the timeline is not intentionally planned around the couple and is planned around it being a "production" and not reflecting YOU as a couple.

You don’t need a wedding that looks busy or chaotic.

We want your wedding to feel like YOU and reflect what your unique love story looks like.

WHY DO WE LOVE DESTINATION WEDDINGS?

Because we get to do them together. ❤️

We’ve been married for almost 18 years, and are raising 5 amazing kids. In all our years of marriage one thing we've learned is to still make sure that there is US time, because one day when the kids are grown and have their own families/lives, we want to make sure we don't loose who we are as a couple with just being parents.

And one of our favorite things about marriage has always been getting to experience life with our best friend.

Road trips.

New places.

Getting lost.

Finding little restaurants.

Laughing at things nobody else would understand.

Making memories that started out as, “Hey… want to go somewhere?”

So when we realized we could combine that part of our marriage with something we already love ✨photography✨ it just made sense.

Two perspectives.

One story.

And then when the wedding is over?

We get to explore somewhere new together.

That’s our kind of work trip. 😂❤️

I've had couples tell us we’re “marriage goals,” and honestly, that’s one of the best compliments we’ve ever received.

Because we don’t just want to photograph the beginning of your marriage.

We want to remind you that the adventures don't end at “I do.” They may come in different seasons of your marriage, but they don't just end.

There are only 18 Christmas Minis available this year, and these are the ONLY dates I will be offering.

⏰ PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME ⏰

These are 10-minute mini sessions scheduled back-to-back, so arriving on time is very important. If you arrive late, you will only receive the time remaining of your scheduled spot! (5 minutes late means 5 minutes to shoot) and your session will not be extended to intrude on others paid time.

If you arrive more than 10 minutes after your scheduled start time, your session will be canceled. You will then need to reschedule for another date, based on my availability.

Blatant No Shows will not be allowed to reschedule, you will also not be refunded (per contract). If you are sick or have anything happen outside of your control you may absolutely reschedule for another time that works for both of us as long as you give me atleast a little heads up before your scheduled time.

Hey yall! We are Jes and Alex! Your new favorite wedding photographer duo!!

Over the last few years, my husband and I realized something…

We REALLY love being in a stage of life where we can do more together especially with my photography business.

We aren't talking weddings that are the over-the-top kind where the day becomes a staged perfect production.

We’re talking about the kind of wedding where you have your person, your family/friends, being somewhere beautiful, say your vows, explore a little for the perfect shot, eat something amazing, and actually get to enjoy the day together. Small and intimate events, even if it's not an elopement.

We recently photographed a wedding in Tennessee, and somewhere between the 6-hour drive, the wedding day being perfect, and getting to experience a place we’d never been together, we realized just how much we loved it.

And honestly? Getting to do it together was one of the best parts! It was just as meaningful for us, as it is for the couples whose memories we capture!

Almost 18 years of marriage has taught us that some of our favorite memories aren’t the planned ones. They’re the road trips. The new places. The ridiculous moments. The quiet moments. The adventures we didn’t know we’d remember forever.

So we’re putting it out there…

We want more of this.

We’re opening a limited number of dates for intimate destination weddings and elopements within 6-9 hours driving distance of Eastern North Carolina.

Cassidy & Bryant Garee Wedding | 8•22•2026

Yesterday was nothing short of amazing! I not only got to travel to Pigeon Forge Tennessee, but myself and Alex got to shoot such a beautiful little wedding! Tucked up on the side of the mountain celebrating with Cassidy and Bryant and their friends and family as they became one♥️ It was my first "destination" wedding and I am absolutely in love with the experience I got to have!
