I’m not mentally prepared for this…

For the last 7 years, this has been my kid. My heart walking outside my body. People might not fully understand the relationship we have—but that’s okay. It’s something special. Something sacred.

I’ve watched him grow into this incredible young man right before my eyes. The laughs, the challenges, the after school talks, the wins, the lessons… they’ve all shaped who he is—and who I am, too.

And just like that… he’s a senior. Class of 2026.

How did we get here so fast?

This is more than just a school year. This is the beginning of goodbye, of letting go in little pieces, of preparing him—and myself—for what comes next.

I love this young man with everything in me. Always have, always will.
