It hit me the other day when going through my son’s clothes, that he will never be small enough to fit into his newborn clothing again. It’s not like adult clothes that maybe don’t fit right now, but you might fit back into them in a few months. No. My baby will never be as small as he was, which is both beautiful and nostalgic at the same time. Each day he continues to grow physically and mentally into the amazing young boy he will become, and I love to see that growth when I look back on his photos and videos.

That’s why newborn photos now mean something so much more to me than they did before. I’ve always loved photographing babies, but this session was my first since having Nathan, and man did I find a whole new love for this type of work. Newborn photos are a perfect moment to document your little one (or ones in this case!!) so you can always have a little piece of their smallest selves frozen forever. So book the session. Take the mundane videos. Your future self (and probably your kids!) will thank you later. 🫶
