There’s just something about a brand new baby, warm summer sunshine, and a field full of flowers. 🥹🌼✨

When this mama told me she dreamed of summertime newborn portraits outdoors, I was ALL IN.

We spent the evening at one of our beautiful local farms, soaking up that golden light, loving on their newest little baby, and letting big sibling be their adorable little self in between. 🤍

Parents who complain about ‘uncooperative’ kids are often trying to make their family something it’s not yet.

I’ve taken photos of families in Pittsburgh for 15 years. I’ve learned one big thing: the magic doesn’t happen when a kid sits perfectly still. It happens when you stop trying to control them and just enjoy who they are.

Most parents worry their kids are too wild or too shy for photos. They think they need to say sorry for their child’s personality before I even snap a picture. I promise, you don’t.

My best photos come from the chaos, the running, and even the ‘bad’ days. That’s where real portraits truly live.
