Happy Labor Day!!

Today is a day to recognize the hard work that keeps our communities, businesses, farms, families and so much more moving forward.

For some, work happens behind a desk. For others, it starts before sunrise, ends long after sunset, and comes with dusty boots, calloused hands, and a four-legged partner beside you.

As someone who spends so much of my time around horses, farms, small businesses, and hardworking families, I get to photograph people who truly understand what it means to put in the hours and keep showing up.

So today, here's to the farmers, ranchers, tradespeople, first responders, small-business owners, healthcare workers, teachers, and everyone else who works hard to build a life they're proud of.

May you get a little time today to slow down, enjoy the sunshine, and appreciate everything your hard work has built.

A beautiful evening with Ember. ❤️

Ember and her mom, Regina, took advantage of one of my Betty Kridle Memorial Mini Sessions, and we had such a great time wandering around and finding all these different little spots for her portraits.

And seriously… could Ember be any prettier?! 😍 From the flowers to the bridge, the woods and even a little rock posing, she was an absolute natural in front of the camera. I love the variety we were able to create during her session!

These special mini sessions are being held in memory of my dear friend Betty Kridle, with proceeds benefiting Breakaway from Cancer—an organization that meant so much to Betty and one she proudly represented as a Guiding Light recipient.

Thank you, Regina, for bringing Ember out and helping me honor Betty while supporting such a wonderful cause. ❤️

❤️ INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHARITY ❤️

Giving back has always been incredibly important to me, so when I started planning my photography project for this year, I knew I wanted it to be about more than simply creating beautiful images.

The 2027–2028 Nostalgic Western Pin-Up Calendar brought together an amazing group of women who were willing to step in front of my camera, have a little fun and help me bring this vintage Western vision to life. 🤠

But my favorite part of this entire project is what it will do beyond the photographs.

Proceeds from every calendar sold will benefit Dreaming of Three and Breakaway from Cancer. ❤️

Through Dreaming of Three, those funds can help us continue creating special experiences for families impacted by cancer through our Rodeo Kids Program, as well as supporting deserving students through our Scholarship Program.

And through Breakaway from Cancer, this project gets to give back to another organization that has touched the lives of so many.

So on International Day of Charity, I can’t think of a better time to remind everyone that these calendars are currently available for presale.

You aren't just purchasing a calendar filled with 16 months of nostalgic Western photography. You're supporting a project that was created from the beginning with the intention of giving back. ❤️

Apparently National Beard Day isn’t just for the guys. 🧔‍♂️🐾

Meet Bodi, who is here to remind everyone that a really great beard can make the entire look. 😂

Bodi was another pup who joined me for my recent Front Runner model call, and while we were out there, we took advantage of this fallen tree and those amazing orange mushrooms for a few portraits.

With that scruffy little face, soulful eyes and one pretty impressive beard, I think Bodi understood exactly why I was saving this one for today.

Not every Front Runner moment involved running. ❤️

Meet Carolina! She was another one of the pups who came out for my Front Runner Challenge model call, but when you have a beautiful girl like this in front of your camera, you have to take a few moments for portraits too. 📸

Between the running, treats, getting everyone into position and trying to capture that perfect split-second action shot, we slowed things down for a minute and let Carolina simply be Carolina.

And I’m certainly glad we did. 🖤

One of my favorite things about photographing dogs is making sure we capture more than just what we came for. Sometimes the unplanned portraits end up being pretty special too. 🐾

After months of planning, photographing, editing and designing, I am SO excited to finally be able to share this project with you. The finished calendar features 16 months of vintage-inspired Western pin-up images and an incredible group of women who helped bring this idea to life.

Even better, this project gives back. Proceeds from every calendar sold will benefit Dreaming of Three and Breakaway from Cancer. ❤️

Another one of my Front Runner Challenge models! 🐾💨

Meet Mya! ❤️ She came out to help me create some options for my latest EMBARK challenge, and I think it’s safe to say she understood the assignment.

That happy face, those flying ears, and all four feet working their way toward the camera, she made being a front runner look pretty darn fun. 😂

I’ve been loving getting to photograph these pups in motion and seeing just how different each one looks when they’re turned loose to RUN.

Now the hard part… choosing my final image for the challenge! 📸

Running into a new week like… 🐾💨

Meet Willow! This gorgeous girl came out Friday evening to help me with my model call for the Embark Front Runner Challenge, and she definitely understood the assignment. 😍

There’s just something I love about capturing dogs in motion, the focus in their eyes, the flying paws, the ears, the fur…all those little details that show their personality and athleticism in a single frame.

Willow gave me plenty to work with, and now comes the hard part, deciding which image will make my final submission from all the dogs that came over Friday evening!

There’s something timeless about watching a cowgirl work a herd. The quiet communication between horse and rider, the swing of the rope, and a job that has been done much the same way for generations.

No arena. No staged moment. Just horses, cattle, wide-open country, and the kind of horsemanship that comes from knowing your job and trusting your horse.

These are the moments of the Western way of life that I absolutely love capturing. 🤎🐴
