What an honor it is to get to know people in ways I could have never imagined. To photograph them year after year. A front row seat of witnessing the growth + changes, and freezing the time that passes by before our eyes.

I write this next to my sleeping daughter. I’ve said this before, but I never imagined how much being a new mom would impact my feelings while photographing. It brings a whole new perspective and meaning to what I do.

So many beginnings of so many new chapters for families. The way they let me into their world and enter into a day full of uncertainty, patience, and just letting go together. This is just the best.

Is there anything sweeter than seeing your pal fall deeply in love? Watching them slowly transform into the happiest version of themselves that you’ve ever known?

That’s what happened as I witnessed Sara and Jordan fall in love. I’ve photographed Sara plenty of times (she’s a part of Wild Native, duh), but this time was super special. The joy bubble hovering around our session was visible from miles away.

What a pleasure it was skipping, laughing, and snapping our way through these streets of New Orleans. 🤍

Almost 9 years ago, I got this inquiry from a couple who was getting married at Carnegie Museum with their reception at Ace Hotel ▪️R.I.P. Ace▪️. It was earlier on in my career and I remember being so excited that I booked this wedding, yet SO nervous. I didn’t know what to expect for it. I did know it was going to be really cool because I got to work with greensinner for the first time and Devoted To You | Melissa and they were cookin’ up something extra unique. Absolute dream team stuff. It ended up going perfectly and it is still in my top 5 weddings to this day.

Fast forward 9 years and here we are back in the same place taking photos with their little addition. It was so much fun meeting back up after all that time and capturing them where they are now. We got to use some of the same spots in the Carnegie Museum of Art and re-created one of their wedding portraits, this time with their little sweetie and not the bouquet!
