Some mamas were simply made for motherhood 🤍

The kind who notice every little milestone. Who celebrate every tiny achievement. Who know exactly what makes their girl’s eyes light up- and want to hold onto every version of her as she grows.

So this session was simply about them.

Bare feet in the grass. Dancing just because. Toes dipped in the creek. Belly laughs, snuggles, and all those little in-between moments that say so much more than a perfectly posed photo ever could.

A little girl completely adored by her mama, and a mama soaking up the privilege of getting to watch her become exactly who she’s meant to be.

Because someday she’ll be bigger. But she’ll always be the little girl who danced barefoot in the grass with her mama 🤍

Someday, they won’t be this little together.

They won’t run through fields holding hands, wear matching denim dresses (🥹), or spend their summers side by side quite like this. They’ll grow up, find their own people, build their own lives- but they’ll always share the same beginning 🤍

The same childhood. The same home. The same mom and dad. The same stories that no one else will ever fully understand.

And somewhere along the way, these ordinary little moments become the ones you’d give anything to step back into for just a minute.

Take the pictures of them together. The sweet ones, the silly ones, the ones where nobody is looking at the camera.

You’ll never regret having proof of what it looked like when they were little together 🌿

Y’all, I have been AWFUL at keeping up with sharing sessions on here lately. 😅 I promise I’m going to make a real effort to do better… really, I am.

And on a dark, rainy day (so very typical of you, Pittsburgh), this gorgeous summer maternity session felt like the perfect session to highlight today ☀️

Mama was absolutely glowing, big sister was having the time of her life snuggling mom & dad, and that warm summer light showed off in the very best way.

Maternity sessions will always be some of my favorites because there’s something so special about documenting your family exactly as it is in those last few weeks before everything changes. The belly, the anticipation, your babies still being your only babies for just a little while longer. 🤍

Nothing overly posed or complicated- just loving on your people, soaking in this season, and walking away with photographs that will remind you what it all felt like.

Introducing a sweet little girl’s new baby brother 🤍

Because we all know when a toddler becomes a big brother or sister, that baby isn’t just Mom & Dad’s baby… it’s their baby, too 🥹

Their baby to check on, to kiss a hundred times a day, to proudly show off, and to love with that sweet, completely uninhibited kind of love only a big sibling can give.

Something tells me this little guy already has a best friend and protector for life 🤍

A senior session that feels a little like stepping into another era ✨

Between the grand staircases, timeless architecture, and the incredible light pouring through the halls of the Carnegie Museum, every corner felt like a work of art. We mixed classic portraits with a little creativity in the Architecture Hall and finished along with a few modern favorites by the iconic color block wall.

One of my favorite things about senior sessions is creating a gallery that feels as unique as the senior themselves- not just photos, but memories that reflect this exciting season before life changes in all the best ways.

If you’re dreaming of senior photos that feel timeless with a creative twist, the Carnegie Museum is now towards the top of my list of most unique location options around Pittsburgh 🤍

Summer family sessions will always have a special place in my heart.

Maybe it’s the golden light, the barefoot little feet, the messy hair after chasing fireflies, or the way time seems to slow down for just a little while. For me personally, at least.

But I think it’s also because summer reminds us of something we don’t always realize in the moment- we only get so many summers with our kids at home.

One day they’ll be too big to fit on your hip, too busy to spend every evening outside, and the backyard adventures that feel so ordinary today will become the memories you miss most.

That’s why I love documenting these seasons- not because everything is perfectly posed, but because they’re real. The giggles, the cuddles, the running, the little hands reaching for yours... these are the moments you’ll want to hold onto.

Here’s to another summer spent making beautiful memories 🤍
