New year. New resolutions I won’t be able to keep because my ADHD brain has a hard time forming new habits. Any neuro-spicy people have tips and trick to starting new habits?
I really want to start taking more artistic self portraits. It’s so intimidating tho. I always tell myself “when the lighting is better” “when I do my hair” “when I have the energy to set up a whole scene” “when I find the perfect outfit” …I always talk myself out of it.
This year is the year I want to get out of survival mode and start actually loving myself…for who I am. Now. In this moment. And not who I want to be or who I know I can be…

The past year I haven’t even looked at other photographers work because it got me feeling so guilty for not having the motivation to do my own photography. My emotional energy was being spent elsewhere and I couldn’t spare any to be creative. Looking back, I wish I would have pushed myself to create because I know it would have made me feel better. Processing big emotions is hard… I show my kids so much grace when it comes to their big emotions, why can’t I seem to show myself that same grace? Now that I’m back and I’m actively engaging in other photographers work, I’m feeling so fulfilled and inspired. You guys are killing it and I can’t wait to step into this new year and create beautiful photos with y’all. 🤩

Find you some clients turned friends who cheer you on in your craft. Cause if it wasn’t for them being persistent about getting photos done, I wouldn’t be doing photography again after my year long leave. Love you guys.
