Last year, we rescued Chico after he showed up at the clinic where my husband works, looking for a home.
I had gone many years without having another dog. When my first dog passed away, it was a huge loss for me, and since then, I had never felt ready to open my heart to another one.
But I knew my kids deserved to experience how special it is to grow up with a dog, and having my husband, who is a veterinarian, made me feel a little more confident that he would be okay.
And I’m so glad I did 🥹
Chico needed a home, just like every dog deserves, and he ended up finding a huge place in ours. He is loving, sweet, and has won everyone’s heart ❤️

El año pasado rescatamos a Chico después de que llegara buscando dueño a la clínica donde trabaja mi esposo.
Yo llevaba muchos años sin tener otro perro. Cuando murió mi primer perrito fue una pérdida muy grande para mí, y desde entonces, nunca me había sentido lista para abrir mi corazón otra vez a uno.
Pero sabía que mis hijos también merecían experimentar lo bonito que es crecer con un perrito, y tener a mi esposo, que es veterinario, me hacía sentir un poquito más segura de que estaría bien.
Y qué bueno que lo hice 🥹
Chico necesitaba un hogar, como todo perrito merece, y terminó encontrando un lugar enorme dentro del nuestro. Es amoroso, bueno y se ha ganado el cariño de todos ❤️
