Happy 8th Birthday, Tessa! 🎀✨💗

I have had the absolute joy of photographing this sweet girl since before she was even born starting with her mama’s maternity photos, and somehow today she is EIGHT! 🥹

For this year’s milestone session, Tessa wanted everything that feels perfectly her: bows, flowers, pink, glitter and all things girly. And I think we understood the assignment. 💕🌸

Watching her grow year after year has been such a special part of what I do. From the tiny little girl I first photographed to this confident, funny, beautiful 8-year-old with so much personality it is such a gift getting to document these chapters for her family.

Happy birthday, sweet Tessa! I hope 8 is filled with lots of sparkle, laughter, big dreams, pretty dresses and everything pink. 🎂🎀✨

There is something so special about this little window of time just before a baby arrives when life is about to change in the biggest way, but for a moment it is still just the two of you, soaking in the anticipation of everything ahead. 🤍

For this maternity session at balestrieri family farm, they were drawn to the vineyard because it reminded them of their wedding day. They were married at a vineyard, so being surrounded by the vines again made this chapter feel beautifully connected to where their journey together began.

I loved photographing them in the golden evening light, surrounded by the vineyard, as they celebrated this in-between season no longer just looking back on the day they became a family, but looking forward to the moment their family grows.

Such a meaningful full-circle chapter to document. 💕

What a beautiful day celebrating these two at Mavericks House in Half Moon Bay. Between the incredible water views, soft coastal light, and the ocean just steps away, it was such a gorgeous setting for their wedding day.
And there is something especially fun and unique about Megan and Kyle’s story: they are BOTH twins! Megan has a twin sister, and Kyle has a twin brother 🤍
Their day was simply filled with so much love. From Megan and Kyle laughing together along the water, to the emotion of the ceremony, heartfelt toasts, cake cutting, dancing, and Kyle being hoisted into the air by his friends the entire celebration felt relaxed, genuine, and surrounded by people who absolutely adore them.
I had my own unexpected surprise, too. One of Megan’s makeup artists was actually one of my previous brides. I had no idea she would be there, so seeing a familiar face from a wedding I photographed years ago made the day even more special. I love when my photography world comes full circle like that. ❤️
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Jensen! Thank you for trusting me to capture this incredible chapter in your story. I hope these photographs always bring you right back to the laughter, your family and friends, and that beautiful Half Moon Bay coastline. 🥂🌊

One of my favorite parts of designing custom milestone sets is when parents choose to celebrate who their child is right now.

This sweet 3-year-old doesn’t even drink coffee, but coffee has become part of her world. She watches Mom and Dad make it every morning, and one of her favorite traditions is going to Starbucks with Mom for a special treat. Those little routines may seem ordinary today, but they’re the moments that often become the memories we treasure most.

Rather than simply creating a backdrop, we designed a Montessori-inspired space where she could explore, pretend, problem-solve, and play. It became less about “taking photos” and more about documenting her curiosity, the way she currently holds a marker, her growing confidence, her sense of pride after making a pretend drink, and the joy of discovering how things work.

Years from now, this set won’t just remind her family what she looked like at three. It will remind them who she was.

Those everyday moments are worth remembering too. 💕📷

Today was such a fun day in the studio as this sweet family stopped by to see their custom 8-month milestone set in person! 💕

We brought their dumpling-inspired vision to life with soft blush pinks, warm neutrals, playful balloons, and adorable handmade details. Seeing a family’s excitement when they walk in and realize their vision has become reality is one of my favorite parts of what I do.

Now I can’t wait to photograph their little one in this set and capture all the smiles, curiosity, and sweet personality that make 8 months such a special milestone. 🥟✨
