City Hall was such a good day with Michelle and Isaac. Just easy, natural vibes the whole time. They’re the type of couple you point the camera at and everything just works. No forcing, no adjusting, just real moments.

After the session the three of us hit Mykonos and somehow went from wedding plans to UFC talk… and then that running joke came up about sending your kid to Dagestan for two to three years and just forgetting about it. I was dying. Little things like that made it feel like we’d all known each other way longer.

And now it’s wedding day at Casa Real, one of my favorite places to shoot in the Bay. Michelle’s got this sweet, calming presence and Isaac’s got that chill energy that keeps everything smooth.

Meet Jay and Dana of The Cobbler San Bruno. A Filipino family running a shop built on craft, patience, and pride. Their two boys get to grow up around all of this, seeing their parents build something real with their hands, learning what hard work, community, and taking care of people looks like. For them, family and business are tied together, and being parents through it all is everything.

When I asked Dana what makes them feel most proud, she said:

“There’s something special about doing a full resole on a pair of shoes or restoring a purse that has been everywhere with its owner. You can give the shoes a new foundation, and with a purse you can clean it, recondition it, repair it, not to make it new, but to make it itself again. Seeing these pieces refreshed and their owners genuinely happy reminds us why this work matters.”

That right there is art. That is heart. That is community.

I don’t know what I did to deserve this life, but I’m grateful for every bit of it.

My wife hit me with a surprise that meant the world. An 8-some tee time with my closest ones. Ocean views, big laughs, good swings, bad swings, and better company.

Small circle. Chosen few. Nothing forced, just solid people and real love.

We talk legacy, not just birthdays. And moments like this remind I’m rich in the ways that matter.

To my wife, thank you for always holding it down and making life feel like a celebration. This one hit different. 💙⛳
