Reunion Camp Hope weekend.
Where the giggles don't seem like a betrayal to your grief. The faces you're seeing are renewing friendships, not meeting strangers.
This camp had a totally different feel than the ones I've been to where the kids are coming for the first time. They already recognized counselors, had friends and were aware of the endless cookies to be eaten all weekend.
I'm always grateful for the chance to witness all of the extraordinary humans during these weekends.
It gives hope and joy in a world that seems hopeless at the moment.
