TG Gainey Productions started in 1998 under the name Fantastisound Experimentations Laboratory with the hopes of being an experimental hip hop and dance music record label. It's founder,TG was a high schooler who excelled in DJing,beat-boxing,breakdancing,and a little bit of MCing but wanted to incorporate other elements into his style of hip hop. Spending time at home in West Philadelphia, he mad

e an experimental tape using no computers titled "Hailing From The Analog State of Mind". The tape caught onto local dance music DJs and producers such as Nigel Richards,DJ Circuit Breaker and Sean O'Neal, who soon after wrote a review for it in the Philadelphia City Paper under "Hot Mixtapes". TG was quickly introduced to producer,Dev79 and was invited to perform at his monthly parties called Slipstate at the former Aqualounge in the Northern Liberties. His performances led to many others around the city and he recorded an EP titled "The Analog State of Mind" which was released in 2001 under the Fantastisound label(the company's first "official" release was a mixtape for b-boys titled "Fo Breakaz Only in 2000). TG's own company handled not only distribution of his recorded works but also his appearances and bookings at clubs like Egypt,La Tazza 108,The Warehouse,The Fire and more which also led to being one of the DJs for a promotion company,Extremekicks. Around the same time, he starting spending time DJing in New York and getting to know hip hop legends and pioneers(as he was always intrigued with the early hip hop culture). In 2005, he moved into internet radio and created a show titled "The Old School Radio Hour" or OSRH for short(which was a Fantastisound production). Unlike many radio shows geared toward old school hip hop, this program was more informal by not only playing the material and talking about the songs and the artists but also including guest interviews with many of hip hop's original players and creators, and guest DJs. Fantastisound(through The Old School Radio Hour)also moved into party promotion featuring many old school hip hop superstars. In 2008,after years being frustrated with not being able to obtain footage from photographers he utilized for his events and interviews, under the suggestion of legendary hip hop MC, Spyder-D,TG started Fantastisound's video division, Fantastivision by buying a video camera himself and started filming his projects including filming coverage of hip hop shows to be used for promos for OSRH. The company also started producing music videos(with TG at the helm as director). Many of the videos featured artist Keith Rodgers a.k.a. In 2010,Fantastivision was absorbed into Fantastisond and the company launched its first video podcast program, "Sureshot Analog Television" which aired many old school hip hop music videos, coverage from hip hop jams, interviews, and never before seen footage from OSRH. Only 8 episodes were produced. The following year, TG started working on a documentary after interviewing veteran Philly television producer, Michael Nise after being inspired from the 80's teen dance show, "Dancin' On Air"(which was one of TG's favorite shows as a child). The film titled "Makin' It Happen-A Tribute to Dancin' On Air" and included over 75 interviews with the show's regulars and staff members and featured hundreds of footage of the show's 6 year run. Because of the friendships he formed and the admiration of the regulars, many of them started their own television and media projects and Fantastisound was utilized in filming and editing such as Party Rockers Tween Scene(created by Kerri Gallagher-Salamone),Dance City(created by Romeo King)and many other related projects. After 15 years in operation from recording music projects to producing parties to video and television production, the name was changed to what it is currently known as of now, TG Gainey Productions. The project and clientele list continues to grow.

Videography Etiquette 5
For your videographers and concert photographers.
Something you need to know and understand.
Each venue is different as far as boundaries go.
Sometimes they allow you access to be on stage to get the shots you want and there are those who do not.

Just went to see the Michael movie. I have to see it again. Most of the showing(matinee) had some knucklehead teenagers constantly farting and laughing plus talking on their cells during the film. I will never go to a theater in the city again!
