Oh my! We were joined by a large pod of Common Bottlenose Dolphins towards the end of our Whale Watch today and we spent some time with them. Another amazing excursion! 9/9/26 Cape Cod Bay/Stellwagen Bank while out with Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruises!

Each and every summer I need to make it out with Beachcomber Seal Tours in Chatham at least once. At low tide especially it never disappoints. I love my Sea Mammals on the Cape. 8/31/26 Chatham, Cape Cod, Ma.

“Tuesday Afternoon”, Justin Hayward (lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter for the Moody Blues) at Plymouth Memorial Hall 9/5/26. Since so many of you enjoyed my video of “Nights in White Satin” a few days ago I thought I’d post another.

Friday 8/28/26 was my last Sunset Whale Watch of 2026 with Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruises and it was magical in every way. We had multiple Humpback Whales in the sunset light, a stunning sunset on way back in, and right at the very end the full moon rose and gave us a treat! All sunset/moonrise photos can be seen in this series. I'll post part two of this trip tonight or tomorrow with non-sunset photos of the wildlife.

Nights in White Satin, Justin Hayward (lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter for the Moody Blues) at Plymouth Memorial Hall last night 9/5/26. What a show! I am always blown away by how fortunate I am to have incredible and legendary talent playing right in my hometown. A 10 minute drive to see one of the all-time legends. And at the age of 79 his voice sounded awesome and he performed many of his classics. Enjoy.

In Plymouth Massachusetts there is a huge statue called the National Monument to the Forefathers. During Osprey season the statue has a crown on it which is actually an Osprey nest. The Osprey find it the perfect place to have their babies as it is up high enough, near the ocean, and a safe haven for them. I recently visited and got some photos of both the statue and the osprey before they migrate back south and vacate the crown of the statue for another winter. 🙂 August 2026, Plymouth, Ma.

From the website See Plymouth. “Thought to be the largest solid granite monument in the United States, this 81-foot-tall granite statue was built to honor the passengers of the Mayflower. Boston sculptor Hammatt Billings designed the monument which features allegorical figures depicting the virtues of Faith, Morality, Education, Law, and Liberty. On the main pedestal stands the heroic figure of “Faith” with her right hand pointing toward heaven and her left hand clutching the Bible. A dedication on the monument reads, “National Monument to the Forefathers.
Erected by a grateful people in remembrance of their labors, sacrifices and sufferings for the cause of civil and religious liberty.” The original design called for the monument to be nearly twice as tall at 150 feet (just under the Statue of Liberty’s height of 151 feet).”
