A little bird’s-eye view of this wedding day at Elkins Estate. One of those photos that makes you appreciate just how much there is to remember.

There’s so much happening in a wedding day that you don’t always get to see while you’re in the middle of it. Your favorite people arriving, everyone moving around, the little moments happening off to the side, and then suddenly it’s all part of one really big day.

I love having photos like this in a gallery because they give you a chance to step back and take it all in. Not just the two of you, but everything and everyone that made the day yours.

Let’s talk about wedding planning for a second…

There is no shortage of opinions when you start planning a wedding, and it can get overwhelming fast. The couples who enjoy their day the most are the ones who stay grounded in what actually matters to them.

Don’t get caught up in a perfectly curated timeline or the pressure to follow every trend. Focus on the people, the moments, and how you want the day to feel.

As a wedding photographer, I see it over and over again, the best galleries come from couples who give themselves permission to slow down and be present instead of chasing perfect.

So if you are in the middle of planning, take what serves you and leave the rest.
