weapons check area ?

The answer is YES ....

WE HAVE A BOOTH THAT IS NEAR THE INFORMATION AREA

(ON THE CORNER OF MAIN
STREET AND WILSON AVENUE)

THAT YOU MUST VISIT IF YOU HAVE ANY TYPE OF PROP WEAPON.

Our chief of security Nate will be happy to assist you in tagging your prop.

IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IT'S A LASER GUN, SWORD, BOW & ARROW or THERMAL DETONATOR...

WE ASK THAT YOU HAVE IT CHECKED WITH ONE OF OUR SPECIALISTS .

YOU WILL BE HANDED A COLORED ZIP TIE THAT YOU MUST ATTACH TO YOUR PROP IMMEDIATELY..

OUR REALLY GOOD FRIENDS AND PARTNERS AT THE BARTOW POLICE DEPARTMENT WILL ALSO HAVE THE COLORED ZIP TIES AS THEY WALK THE EVENT AREA .

THEY WILL BE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE VISITING THE AREA WITH AMAZING PROPS THAT NEED TO BE CHECKED.

WE HAVE ALSO INCORPORATED A HUSBAND & WIFE TEAM WHICH ARE MEMBERS OF THE (MEN IN BLACK)
WHICH WILL ALSO BE CHECKING FOR PROP WEAPONS THAT NEED TO BE CHECKED ...

WE ASKED THAT ALL OF YOU COOPERATE WITH OUR VOLUNTEERS WHEN THEY WISH TO INSPECT YOUR PROP WEAPON TO MAKE SURE IT IS SAFE.

Once again after 10 years this is the most popular question about SYFY Bartow :::

( WHERE DO WE PARK? )

We came up with this map years ago and it explains a lot of the parking areas and where they are located.

Just to be clear anywhere in Bartow is free to park.

If you pull up to a spot near the downtown area and it says
"2-hour parking only" ignore it !

On that Saturday of SYFY Bartow it is free all day.

The only place that we ask that you do not park is around the Bartow post office , which is located along Summerlin Avenue.
They enforce their parking area, so try to avoid that.

All we ask is that when parking , always be courteous and nice to everyone.
Our town loves Syfy Bartow and we want to accommodate all of our out of town visitors

Located on West Church Street next to the large building which is the Polk County Courthouse , is a huge county parking garage.

It is also free to park all day & has many levels.
This parking garage is conveniently located a block and a half from the event.
It will be open all day.

Please note the red flags on the map .
That is where our hotels are located if you plan on staying Friday night and Saturday.

We will repost this a few more times before the event that is February the 18th 2023 !

Syfy Bartow is a rain or shine event , but we've had beautiful weather for the last 10 years.

Good afternoon.

Syfy Bartow is coming up very fast, it is February 18th 2023.

We are looking for volunteers that can help throughout the day with some easy jobs .

This would be a volunteer situation & it would be no more than 2 to 3 hours at a time .
Your shift will not tie you up all day .
So you could enjoy the event after your volunteer time.

If you are interested or need more information please message us or comment on this news feed.

Please only serious inquiries..
We are looking for volunteers that are 18 years or older please.

The jobs are easy .

Anything from moving a barricade to sitting with some of our media guests, helping with vendors
all types of jobs .

The time frames would be 6:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. , some other random times throughout the day & 5:30 til about 7pm.

So if you are interested, please let us know...
