Photographer Brian Jennings and I took advantage of an early morning at the north end of Flathead Lake.. Brian captured some great images of the old piers... lots of history there.
Not much winter around here, so when theres a quiet chance to capture early morning light ... I do just that!

A quiet hike to a really nice waterfall in Glacier National Park. Places like this are all over in this beautiful park. Certainly worth a walk in the woods....

The beautiful, remote, and moody Two Medicine valley on the east side of Glacier National Park. Bordered by the Blackfeet Indian Reservation, this area is completely unchanged since I came here often as a kid! Kudos to the National Park Service and to the Blackfeet tribe for leaving it alone and unspoiled.

Summer afternoons at quiet little lakes in northwest Montana have a tendency to make one just sit in the grass and take a nice long break. :) Hope you get a chance to find one of these quiet little places!!

Winter receded slowly and beautifully along the Snake River in Idaho. This image was taken a few weeks ago along the river. Just Nature's way of saying goodbye to one season, hello to the next!

So we have experienced several cold foggy days in this area due to a persistent weather inversion.... but a little looking around for some quiet light led me to this area... and it was cold for sure. Just sat quietly until a brief break in the cloud cover allowed a little light thru... this is the result!! Enjoy!!
