Congrats to everyone who helped to create the distinctive refurbished Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. Perks especially to the fearless leader Jerry Wilson and to Fisher/Koppenhafer Architects. The grand opening was last evening 7/31.

Congratulations to Kasper Architects + Associates on being awarded the 'Commercial Built Award of Merit' at the AIA-Jacksonville Awards Gala. The award was for the new W.W. Gay Headquarters in Jacksonville [that I was privileged to have photographed😊].

Finally, this weekend I was humbled to finish swimming my 400th mile. About 3 times/ week I get to use our beautiful Nocatee Lap Pool. It's open all year from 7 am to 11 pm and I use it at lots of different times. It takes me about an hour to swim the 36 laps, and it always refreshes me and by bones. I highly recommend this form of exercise for my old peers.😀

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada is like 'Candyland' for an architectural photographer. I was amazed at how many distinctive buildings exist in this beautiful city. I offer just a taste here.

In 1911, Canada established the first national parks service in the world. What began as a cluster of parks in the Rocky Mountains gradually became a national system. This is the Administration Building in Banff, Canada for all the National Parks of Canada.

Just got to visit Victoria, British Columbia and the Fairmont Empress Hotel. It was designed by Francis Rattenbury in the Chateauesque Style and built from 1904 to 1908 by Canadian Pacific Hotels. It has 412 rooms and is located downtown facing the city's Inner Harbour.

If you ever find yourself in the Allentown/ Bethlehem/ Lehigh Valley, PA, take a look at the 'Bethlehem Steel Stacks'. They are a monument to America's past industrial might. They produced steel from 1857 to 1995 until it's technology became outdated. It was a thrill for me to take about 100 pictures of it.
