Candid wedding photography doesn’t mean I leave you standing in front of the camera and hope something natural happens. 😂

It means giving you enough direction to feel comfortable—where to stand, what to do with your hands, or a little movement to get you started—and then leaving room for your real personalities to take over.

I may find the light, bring you closer, or give you a prompt, but the laughter, connection, and little in-between reactions? Those are completely yours.

You’ll never be left wondering what to do, but you’ll never feel like you’re performing for the camera either.

Some of my favorite photographs from Kalilah and Joseph’s Savannah wedding are the ones where they weren’t thinking about photographs at all.

Playing UNO while getting ready, a kiss for dad, sharing ice cream, and laughing together. There was time for beautiful portraits, of course—but there was also room to simply be there.

And I think that’s what makes these photographs feel so much like them. 🤍

A moment for this Ivory & Beau sparkle dress. ✨

The structured bodice, full skirt and all-over shimmer gave us something different in every kind of light. It looked clean and classic from a distance—then the sparkle really showed up as soon as she moved.

Naturally, I photographed it from every angle. 😂
