Don’t speak poorly of a photographer just because they didn’t do things the way you might have. Just wait and let the results speak for themselves!

Photos on a rainy day? I’ll take it! 💧🌲

Not every session gets a golden hour glow, but every session can still be beautiful! I absolutely loved the moody, woodsy feel to these senior photos, plus Denise was a natural!!

I can’t wait for more photos this spring and summer now that we can get outside!! 🌷🌿🌳

Well, my worst nightmare has happened. My incredibly organized, incredibly detailed, color coded phone calendar has been completely erased.

Thankfully, all of my sessions are scheduled in a separate app that syncs to my phone calendar, so I do have all those dates!! However, if you have a phone call, meet up, or anything that’s not a wedding or session scheduled with me, I NO LONGER HAVE THAT INFORMATION!!!

Please please please do me a favor and reach out with the date and time we have scheduled, and I will add you back in to my calendar!!

You got your photos back. You loved them. You waited to see me share them and then… nothing.

I promise it’s nothing against you! There are so many reasons I might not share photos, even when I think they’re beautiful.

1. I have too many sessions to post! Realistically, I have three sessions a week on average - sometimes more than that - so there’s just no way I can post every single one.

2. Engagement has been down. Sometimes there’s a session that I REALLY love and I wait to post it until my engagement has been trending up because I really don’t want that post to flop.

3. I’m waiting for the right season! Maybe you had photos taken at the very end of fall, and by the time I got around to posting, there’s already snow covering the ground. I might just have to wait till the end of summer next year to post so that the photos match the season and attract clients looking for that style!

4. They don’t fit my brand direction. As much as I love shooting events, seniors, and sports, I advertise for couples, families, and second shooting, so main feed posts with photos outside of that niche are few and far between.

5. You haven’t posted yet. I usually try to wait a few weeks or until my clients post before I do! A lot of my clients’ friends follow me, so I want you to have the chance to be the first to share your favorites with them!

6. I posted something similar recently. Maybe you had couple photos done at a coffee shop, but I just posted the exact same thing yesterday. Chances are, I will try to post several different themed sessions before posting yours, so that my feed has some variety.

I truly put so much work and heart into every single session, so I promise I’m just as in love with your photos are you (hopefully) are! Just as a side note, if your Instagram settings allow it, I do share every post I’m tagged in on my story! 🥰

I had the best time exploring the Art Institute with Casey & Jesus for their engagement photos! So many beautiful backdrops for their romantic, elegant style. So excited for their wedding next year! 🤍💍

This session had just about everything that makes a session great in my book - wind blown hair, a beautiful sunset, and of course the immense love that David & Brittany so obviously have for each other. It wasn’t about perfect posing or forcing a moment, but about letting them be themselves and capturing the connection that’s already there.

It’s actually insane what one little change can do for a photo. 🤭 If there’s no glowy sunset on the day of your session, don’t panic!! We can still create something dreamy and warm.
