I haven’t consistently picked my camera up in a looong time. A rough start to our year pulled me away from it and with how much Instagram has changed, my love for photography has ebbed a little.

Even the way photos are shared on here is a lot different. It’s all about the curated photo dump, which I actually do love. It just feels like photos are increasingly more obsolete, especially if they don’t fit in the story telling genre.

But since I started using my camera more again, I’m really glad I did! I don’t feel the need to always have my camera, but it’s still a hobby that means a lot to me. And Alani and Nova haven’t skipped a beat with their posing 🥹 They’re so patient with me and are just the best girls.

Alani turned 7 last month and that plus her graying face is something I’ve been thinking about a lot. But she’s in amazing health ♥️ She hasn’t slowed down an inch when it comes to begging for food, playing ball, hiking or modeling for my camera. The best girl.
