I was photographing someone else when Dian walked up and asked if I could take a dating profile picture for him.
As we talked, I learned that he’s active in politics, serves in his local church, advocates for foster children, and is working to make sure people can get paid weekly.
Despite all of that, he shared that dating has been hard.
I reminded him that he’s not alone. Dating is tough right now for many people, especially in Portland, Oregon.
Everyone is carrying hopes and prayers that haven’t been answered yet. But even in the waiting, we can walk in hope and faith, trusting that God still has good plans for those who love Him.
Dian, thank you for stopping to say hi. You are seen. You are loved. And most importantly, Jesus loves you.
