The Annual 4Cs convention is just five weeks away! If you haven’t already signed up, we hope you'll join us in Boise on September 20th and 21st.
Prospective attendees should keep two deadlines in mind:
The block of reserved hotel rooms will be released on 8/20. (That’s in four days!) At last check there are only 7 rooms left on Friday and Saturday night. Attendees are under no obligation to stay at the hotel, but $167 per night ($187 with tax) is a good rate and it’s hard to beat the convenience. The hotel number is 208-343-1871.
Base registration goes up to $110 after early registration ends on 9/14.
Also, note that the space in the Friday afternoon and evening field trips is limited. All three trips already filled up once, but we’ve added a second group to each one and can accommodate some additional attendees. If you’re interested in any of these, you should sign up with all due haste.
Good news for attendees: the raffle is unusually well-stocked. Due to the generosity of major donors such as Pro Prints, Manfrotto, Lens Rental, Bay Photo, Red River Paper, Data Color and Nation Photo, attendees will have the opportunity to win up to $6,800 worth of photo-related prizes!
The Boise Camera Club has done a terrific job on the convention, lining up more than a dozen field trips, presentations and hands-on workshops to suit a broad range of photographic interests. You’ll find all the details on the 4Cs website: www.columbiacameraclubs.org.
We are especially excited to welcome our 2024 Keynote Speaker, Ian Plant, to Boise for this event. Ian’s work regularly appears in photo publications including Outdoor Photographer, Popular Photography, and Landscape Photography, among many others. Ian will be speaking on, Making a Connection:The Importance of Telling a Story with Your Photos. He will also be presenting a workshop titled, Ultra-Wide Photography. Ian is a popular presenter at leading photo conferences such as KelbyOne, Out of Chicago and others. Ian is also an author of dozens of books and instructional videos and founder of Photo Masters, a resource dedicated to photography education and inspiration.
It should be fun weekend— we hope to see you there!
