One of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is capturing all the intimate and in between moments. You get to look back on your wedding day and see how your spouse was looking at you on your wedding day. The love you both have for one another you can see it in your eyes! It’s my favorite.

If you and your partner are a more goofy silly couple we can capture that too. Being your true authentic self is the most important. So if you much rather have fun and silly photos we can do that as well!

If you’re getting married in 2026 now’s the time to start thinking about booking your vendors. If you’re getting married this year and still don’t have a photographer you should reach out ASAP.

Rochelle how many drafts do you have with partially written captions. Yeah exactly I needed to finish writing some captions. I’ve got some photos that aren’t usually shared to socials to share.

After 9 long months of unemployment I’m so happy to say I’ll be starting my new full time job next week. About 6 months longer than I would have liked. If you are unemployed or looking for a new job. All I can say is the job market is tough right now.

Last fall when I was in the thick of wedding season I was really hopeful that I could take photography full time or only needing to have a part time job. But that isn’t the reality for 2025.

After 2024 being the best year yet photography wise. 2025 isn’t looking like it’s going to follow suit unfortunately. I will continue to work hard to make those dreams a reality.

The goal this week is to finish my website since I decided it needed a total layout update! 🤣

I’ve had so many different ideas for captions for what I want to say but none of them just feel right! So we’re just going to say we’re not ready for February and my birthday and the I’ll be 32. Like what how did that happen.

Booking your wedding photographer is a big decision, and I want to make sure you get it just right! 📸✨ Here are a few tips to help guide you:

• Connect personally – Choose someone you vibe with; it’ll make all the difference on your big day. You do t want an awkward stranger in your wedding day. Your photos won’t be what you dreamed of.

• Review their portfolio & see a full gallery – A few photos can show style, but a full gallery will give you an idea of consistency and how they capture the entire day.

• Ask about their backup system – You want to know your photos are safe, so ask about their backup process for peace of mind. Make sure they have two camera are shooting two SD cards and backing up to a minimum of 2 external hard drives.

• Understand your package – Be clear on what’s included so there are no surprises.

• Book early – Dates fill up fast, so don’t wait to lock in your photographer!

2025 brides this ones for you! If there is one piece of advice I tell every single couple whether they book with me or not. Is to know your photographers back up system. Making sure they have a second camera and shoot to two sd cards. Making sure your photos are backed up to more than one external hard drive. Because SD cards do corrupt and hard drives also can corrupt over time.

They don’t necessarily need to shoot with both cameras on your wedding day. I personally only shoot with one unless I’m shooting alone. I don’t necessarily have a reason for it. Who knows maybe in 2025 I’ll shoot with both on a wedding day!

Up until 2024 I never did weddings alone. But realized some couples don’t want or need 8 hours coverage. So I went from 1 package to 3. Do I prefer to have an assistant with me absolutely. It makes it so much less hectic not trying to be two places at once. If you want to make your photographers jobs a little less hectic on your wedding day choose a package with a second shooter.

You know Instagram feed posts aren’t my strong suit. You all get to see my life with my dogs right now 😂 But I had a busy weekend over here. Two shoots at the coast and a wedding! Just wanted to share of few that I’m loving. Patiently waiting for my computer to cooperate so I can see all of this weekends wedding.

Will I continue to post pictures from my cousins wedding yes yes I will. Her venue was a dream. I get the pleasure of having another wedding at timberline this fall! The end of this month is going to be my busy season 3 weddings in 4 weeks. So ready to kick it off. Weddings are my favorite.

I turned in my keys to my first apartment today! So happy to not have to deal with a creepy neighbor. Plus I don’t have to go up a flight of stairs to get to my front door 🙌🏻
