I work in different styles depending on your needs / interests. I'm good at producing images that actually look like you when you're feeling good. Actor and professional headshots:
I learned the headshot business when I lived in NYC where an up-to-date headshot was a requirement. Current, properly lit and posed, that looked like the person who would show up for the audition. Expression was paramo
unt - friendly, engaged, someone who looked like they would be fun to work with, and who understood the need to have a professional-looking result. In my experience in Portland (where everyone in theatre seems to know each other) people don't update their headshots very often (something I'd like to see change) and the rules about the style of images aren't strict (something I'm happy about.). Flattering, accurate portraiture is the best way to describe what I do, with the same focus on expression. I can make bright, high key images, or natural light, or moodier for the writers and directors. If you're looking for commercial work I can work in whatever parameters your agent gives you. If your company wants a picture of you for their website we can work to match the style of the other images there. I'm currently charging $300 for a session and two completed and retouched images. Generally plan on a couple of hours - we talk, test lights, see how the lighting works for you, I give you direction and we take images until we're happy with what we got. I'm also available to come to your location and take images of your theatre group or business. Theatre promotional and production shots:
I've been doing most of the promotional and production photography for Fuse Theatre Ensemble and the Outwrite Theatre Festival for the last half decade. You can see my work at their website: https://www.fusetheatreensemble.com/
I work out of a studio at my home in NE Portland, Concordia neighborhood.
