A couple quick landscape shots I took during family portrait sessions earlier this month. They are views of the same beach, same morning. The NW Pacific Ocean and the Coastal Mountain Range are like a different painting each time I go. The old cedars blanketed in fog, crystal blue skies behind the clouds, gold sand, and tide pools made this morning special.

Garden Portraits! I had the best time with this crew in SE Portland. I lost count of the animals at one point but there was endless affection & amusement the whole time I was there. It was one of those shoots where I walked away with a permanent smile on my face for the rest of the evening (and a basket full of fruit from their cherry tree).

The very first of my Portland Garden Portraits series! Morgaine & Dom have the dreamiest city garden I’ve seen in a long time. Hot pink cactus flowers, plenty of veggies, strawberries for days, a chicken coop under the tall trees, a magical hop vine tunnel, a loyal crow friend + two dogs and two cats. I love how much they enjoy tending to their oasis. It’s been a month since I shot these and I already know so much more has come to life since then.

Was walking through my neighborhood and saw these guys from blocks away pulling on a tree in the middle of the street. I thought they were up to some odd trouble. Once i got closer they invited me over to pick these perfect cherries. 😂

I’ve been taking lots of photos of Portlanders in their gardens with their loved ones recently, and I am so excited to be editing lighthearted moments like this. Here we have Meredith and her soul cat Max (on his 10th birthday). He’s half Maine C**n and half Siamese. His blue eyes and snuggly nature were heart melting.
