Sunrise on the Oregon Coast brings a different sort of peace to an elopement day. The rest of the world is still sleeping and the hustle and bustle of normal life seem far away - it’s just you and your love accompanied by the sounds of the ocean below 🫶

July is my favorite time of year for elopements in Colorado. Beautiful morning weather, epic sunsets, wildflowers, and, most importantly, the mountain passes are open!

Something about looking up at the canopy in a forest tickles my brain - especially in the Redwoods on a foggy morning 🫶

Want to elope in Hocking Hills during Spring 2027? Don’t wait, make sure you start your planning process now! Here’s why:
1. More time to plan = way less stress. Starting now gives you plenty of time to plan at a relaxed pace.
2. Spring is when the waterfalls are almost guaranteed to be flowing. If you want waterfalls, don’t miss this ideal window!
3. Get your pick of epic cabins. You’re far enough out that the best stays still have good availability.
4. Get your ideal ceremony site & timing. Planning further out means better availability.
5. Book with your favorite vendors. Calendars fill quickly - plan early to work with your fave photographer & other vendors.

If you’re ready to get started with a photographer who also helps you plan everything, comment or reach out at the link in bio!

I work with a lot of couples who are traveling for their elopements, and as someone who did it myself, I’ve got all the tips!

1) Choose a dependable airline. Flight cancellations and delays are not something you want to deal with, and some airlines are more dependable than others. Research their on-time and cancellation performance before booking.

2) Choose an airline based on their cabin baggage policy. Some have on board closets where they can store your dress if there is room!

3) Pay for priority boarding. You want to make sure your carry on luggage isn’t gate checked!

4) Don’t put your wedding attire in your checked bag. DON’T. Make sure it’s in your carry on or personal item and then follow tip 3.

5) Head to my link in bio and check out my helpful blog on how to fly with your wedding attire for even more tips :) and if you’ve done it yourself, drop some more tips in the comments!
