Obituary of David R. Bentley
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David "Dino, Hopper, DB" Bentley, who bid adieu to this life on February 25, 2024. Born on September 12, 1975, David was a unique individual who carried multiple monikers. He was an individual who loved life and lived it vibrantly, leaving a mark on everyone he met.
David was predeceased in death by his brothers, Mike and Josh Voedisch; his father, Thomas Bentley; step-father, John Voedisch; and his grandparents, Robert and Cassie Carroll.
He is survived by his Children, 1st wife, Uncle, Nephew, Nieces, Cousins, Aunt, sister, mother, and romantic partners.
David had a rich, detailed tapestry of interests and passions. A true epicure, his favorite dishes were Lasagna, SOS, and Pecan Loaf. The Doors' music infused his life, their melodies and lyrics often providing solace and encouragement. A loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was a regular fixture during the football season, passionately cheering for his team.
A bike ride and vigil has been scheduled for David on March 30, 2024, at 1:00 pm begining at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, a place that David held close to his heart. We invite all those who knew David to join in recalling his life and celebrating.
As we remember David, we find comfort in knowing that he lived his life to the fullest, never losing his unique spirit. His departure has left an empty space in many hearts, and he will be profoundly missed. Today, we celebrate David "Dino, Hopper, DB" Bentley, a man of great vitality. Rest in peace, David.
