What brings a tear to my eye is the reaction of the girls standing on that stage beside me. 🥹
I want to be the kind of woman who shows up for the people around her with genuine love and support. That’s the kind of Miss Oregon I want to be.
To me, this is what matters most… the sisterhood, the friendships, and the bonds that exist far beyond a crown or a sash.
Knowing the hearts of these women makes me want to represent this title as the very best version of myself because I truly know it could have been any one of us crowned that night. I know what it feels like to not hear your name. I know what it’s like to walk off that stage feeling like you gave everything you had.
Throughout this year, I hope to make these women proud, the ones who cheered the loudest for me after pouring their own hearts into this journey. I hope they always know that they are the heart of Miss Oregon. 🩷
