You don’t need to know what to do.
You don’t need to have everything figured out.
And you definitely don’t need to carry the pressure of making the session go perfectly.

One of the biggest shifts I see during sessions is when people realize they can finally relax and just be present with each other. That’s literally my job to guide you, notice what feels natural, and gently lead you through the whole process so you’re never left wondering what to do next. I will *never* leave you hanging!

If planning photos has been sitting on your to-do list because it feels overwhelming, let me take that off your plate :)

If I could back in time and change anything…. I’d tell Linda from 9 years ago to plant at LEAST three more of these lilac bushes. Because they’ll turn out to be her fave 🤩

I’m a wedding photographer, and I would never hire a “natural light only” photographer.

Not because natural light isn’t beautiful. It absolutely is! It’s truly my favorite!
👉🏼 But because weddings don’t happen on a lighting schedule.

Ceremonies run late. Clouds roll in. Sunsets disappear fast. And receptions? They live in low light, movement, and the best kind of chaos.

If your photographer can’t confidently use flash, you’re not just missing a “style”. You’re risking consistency for your *entire* wedding day gallery.

The best wedding photographers don’t rely on perfect light. They know how to 👏🏻create 👏🏻it.

And that’s what you deserve - photos that are beautiful from start to finish, not just when conditions cooperate.

If you’re planning your wedding and want photos that look just as good at your reception as they do at your ceremony, I’d love to connect.

Inquire through the link in my bio to check availability for your date! I take on a limited number of weddings each season so I can give the very best experience to my couples, because that’s what they deserve - nothing less.

I interrupt my feed of high quality images for these iPhone photos of bread, because this is who I am now. I plan my life around stretch+folds and baking schedules and buy flour 25lbs at a time. I'm not even a little sorry. I'm living my best life. I may never buy bread from a store again!

(Bold statement, I know. I know better than to say "never" about anything. But here we are.)

I've only made plain and cheddar+chive sourdough on repeat, and plain white bread. Dough is currently rising to try making sourdough bagels. What other flavors should I do next? Jalapeno+cheddar and a caprese-style bread are on my list!

I recently got home from one of the most life-changing weeks I’ve ever experienced.

Our church went on a missions trip to the Dominican Republic, partnering with a Hope Center in Puerto Plata, and I’m still trying to find words for everything God did there.

From cleaning up after devastating floods in Montellano, to serving meals, to delivering groceries to families we personally sponsor through the center - every day was full, holy, and deeply humbling. We prayed over cities, worshiped in ways that transcended language, and spent mornings in Scripture on a rooftop as the sun came up.

And honestly? What’s sticking with me most is the joy. The kind of joy that doesn’t depend on circumstances. The people we met have so little by the world’s standards, and yet so much of what matters most.

I came home changed. More grateful, more aware, and more convinced that nothing in God’s Kingdom is wasted.

Also: the kids wanted ALL the photos taken and my photographer heart was fully thriving!

So thankful for this team, this experience, and a God who meets us in every place we go.

Full reflection on the blog today. 💜
