i’m SO excited about this new offering for july!

in a world that feels like it’s being taken over by AI, i’m leaning hard into the real stuff.

real connection.
real memories.
real life.

the slow summer mornings in pajamas. popsicles on the patio. sprinkler runs. chalk-covered hands. backyard picnics. bedtime snuggles.

the stuff that feels ordinary while you’re living it, but somehow becomes everything when you look back.

that’s the heart behind these summer at home sessions.

these are short, relaxed half sessions designed to make family photos feel easy.

no packing everyone into the car. no driving to a location. no stressing about whether your kids will cooperate somewhere unfamiliar.

your kids are already most comfortable at home, and that comfort shows.

they can run barefoot, grab their favorite toy, ask for snacks, jump on the trampoline, or curl up in your lap.

your space. your people. your memories.

for july only, i’m offering a limited number of summer at home half sessions for portland metro area families.

the details:

•25-minute session
•15 edited images included
•$450 if booked by june 30th ($550 after)

this is a special summer offering and will not be available beyond july.

(if you’re wanting something more in-depth or fully customized, full sessions are still available too.)

booking is now open! 🤩

i remember my first summer as a mom.

slow, snuggly mornings in bed. stroller walks to the coffee shop and the park. endless blanket hangs in the backyard practicing tummy time and discovering tiny toes.

i have thousands of iphone photos from that season. so many little moments i was desperate to remember.

i have a handful of selfies of us.

and only one photo taken by someone else of the two of us.

this one.

i cherish this photo with my whole heart, but i also wish so badly i had hired someone to document a morning with us that first summer. something simple, in our backyard where most of the memories live.

so take it from someone 11 years in:

please don't let this season pass without getting in the

we had plans to meet at the plateau, surrounded by wildflowers and sweeping views of the columbia river gorge. on paper, it was the dream location.

but the wind had other plans. it was so intense there was no way we could even attempt photos.

this family had already kept their kids up past bedtime for me, and mom had an early shift in the ER the next morning, so there wasn’t much room for error.

a younger version of me would have panicked and been thrown off my game. but after years of doing this, i’ve learned that sometimes the best thing you can do is let go of the plan and trust your instincts.

so we pivoted.

and in the end, i loved this spot even more. it felt like them: relaxed, playful + connected, with plenty of room to run and explore.

please give me 100 more backyard sessions this summer.

seriously.

i love rolling hills, wildflower fields, and epic views as much as the next photographer, but there is something really special about staying close to home, too.

kids are comfortable here. it’s familiar. the swing they’ve had you push them on a thousand times. the books they ask you to read over and over. the patch of grass where the run through the sprinkler all summer. the first steps they learned to climb.

your space. your people. your memories. worthy of documenting.
