You wouldn’t guess from these photos that June has major health challenges, but that’s the resiliency of dogs for you. Believe it or not June suffers from seizures, several a day in fact. She requires constant supervision snd special treatment which the amazing people at Despite her condition, she lives life to fullest. The resiliency of dogs never ceases to amaze me.

She said YES!

Last year, I was contacted to do my first ever proposal/dog shot. Ruby’s human dad wanted to plan a surprise proposal during a dog shoot.

The mission was to set up a perfectly normal session with Ruby and her two pawrents… while secretly orchestrating a once-in-a-lifetime moment. It meant scouting the ideal location on the coast, dialing in the perfect setup, and timing everything just right. Equal parts planning, creativity, and a little bit of stealth.

After a lot of behind-the-scenes work, everything came together exactly as we hoped. And in the middle of it all—Ruby’s human mom said YES! 🐾💍

And Ruby couldn’t be happier! The proof is unquestionable, just check out that last photo! 😂❤️

Such a gorgeous morning and handsome dog to complement! Loki and his mom took a trip down from Tacoma for a magical tulip session and morning didn’t disappoint. I’m always honored when clients travel for a session with me. I certainly have no issue traveling to them as well.

For half the cost of my full sessions, this package includes a one-hour shoot at a beautiful, mutually selected location within 20 miles of Portland, a $200 credit toward prints and artwork, and one complimentary printable digital file (a $150 value).

This special is available to book through March 31st, with session dates scheduled before June 1st.

I was contacted over the weekend about a last-minute session for a very special senior pup named Autzen, whose health has recently taken a turn. His loving dad adopted him as an 8-month-old puppy just after graduating college, and for the past 14 years they’ve shared a life side by side, growing through every chapter together.

He wanted to capture a few meaningful memories of them together, but time—and the weather—seemed to be working against us. The forecast was calling for heavy rain all week, so I did everything I could to make the session happen before the storms rolled in. Thankfully, we were given a small window of dry weather and were able to sneak the shoot in.

Because Autzen’s mobility is pretty limited these days, we kept things very simple and focused on quiet, heartfelt portraits of him and his dad together.

I can relate to that kind of bond, having shared it myself with so many beloved furry companions over the years. It’s a connection that stays with you forever. I truly wanted to honor their love and the life they’ve shared together as thoughtfully and sincerely as I could. I’m so grateful we were able to make this session happen for them. ❤️

Spring Sessions are now open for booking!

Spring is almost officially here… though unfortunately that also means we have to spring forward today. The good news? Spring photography sessions are now open, and to celebrate I’m offering a limited number of Tulip Mini Sessions this year. 🌷

I’ll only be doing a small handful of these sessions, so if you’re interested, please get in touch soon to reserve your spot. Tulip Minis will be available Monday through Friday mornings only.

Beyond the Tulip Festival, I also have a variety of incredible locations lined up—fields of wildflowers, vibrant spring greens, and beautiful natural backdrops that make the perfect setting to capture unforgettable memories of you and your pup(s).

Wow! I’ve definitely been a bit absent on Instagram lately—for both good and not-so-good reasons.

Between a large commercial shoot down that completely took over my schedule last month and diving into tax season, there hasn’t been much time for anything else.

That said, I did make time to photograph the sweetest little pup named Guinness. Getting to capture his very first experience in the snow was pure magic. Even though our mountain snowpack is historically low this year, we were lucky enough to head up right after a solid storm that dropped about a foot of fresh powder.

Being part Bernese, Guinness looked completely in his element—like he was born for snowy mountain adventures. ❄️🐾❤️

I couldn’t resist an impromptu frozen-morning shoot with this sweet boy, McCoy.

Much like his siblings, McCoy is a seasoned pro—plenty of experience under his belt… or rather, his collar.

Looking ahead, I have some exciting work planned for 2026, including several large projects with commercial clients and new portfolio shoots.

Reese understood the assignment: run fast, smile big, ears everywhere! ❤️

I just wrapped up a large order for Reese from a shoot we did last year. One thing I strongly believe in is never pressuring my private clients to order—there are no deadlines. Having grown up in sales and experienced that pressure myself, I’m intentional about creating a completely stress-free experience. I always treat my clients the way I would want to be treated.

Next, I’m working on another big album order and preparing for some snow shoots in the mountains. ❄️❤️
