Throwback to the first time I'd ever done a longexposure. Something about the effect the process creates feels so unearthly to me. A painting is created simply by leaving the shutter open... a view that couldn't be seen from a human eye... fabricated out of thin air.

A single flame can light a fire. It illuminates and casts out existing darkness. We have been called to be the light of this earth. To spread kindness amongst the people we encounter regardless of their Ethnicity, Gender, political views, etc. If we all share the same mentality of "What can I give?" instead of "Whom can I take from?" the world will begin to become a little less dark.

I had to share this shot because I fell in love with the rock formations it depicts. Doesn't that large looming structure look as if it could be the face of a gorilla?! Amazing how wild the mind can get if you unleash your imagination.

Silhouettes are amazing because of the vast potential they hold. The blank space they leave behind allows the viewer to fill the void with whatever details they deem appropriate. The possibilities become endless, truly unlocking the full capability of your imagination.

I can't even begin to describe the experience of complete and utter totality. The temperature dropped. Stars became visible all while we viewed a 360 degree sunset. And can we talk about the amazing fact that the sun was visible to the naked eye?! Forget all my future plans... I'm now gonna professionally chase Total Eclipses! 😂👌🏻

Happy World Photography Day! 191 years ago the world was changed for the better... the first photo was taken. Ever since then, it has allowed us to capture and preserve historic moments. It has enabled us to revisit the best parts of our lives, allowing ourselves to never forget. The modern world truly would be a completely different place... much of Social Media wouldn't exist and the News would be unable to provide any visual evidence of daily events. It's truly amazing how much a photo can convey and how it's positively affected society.

After not posting the past few days, I'm back from an amazing Christian Summer camp I was able to attend. Not only was I able to refresh my spirituality in Christ, but got to see some incredible scenes of nature. Multnomah Falls -the second tallest waterfall in NorthAmerica- being one of the prettiest restroom break stops one can experience. If the bridge in the above shot didn't exist, couldn't this be a scene from Jurassic Park?!
