I’m a little late posting this ones…but for those who don’t that I also work as a vet tech — this is a special post to celebrate 🩺National Vet Tech Week 💉

I’m so grateful for being the kid who loved animals more than anything else. I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian since I was 6 years old and often found myself “dog training” my beagle or playing “vet” my cousin with her chihuahuas 😂

Later on I made the decision to forgo becoming a vet, but a vet tech instead. I love what the job brought me.

It brought me some of my best friends, my pets, and my confidence that I do poorly lacked in my early 20s. It brought me to building a photography business where we can bond over our fur babies, because I understand that you couldn’t imagine a wedding day without them.

Thank you to all the amazing technicians I’ve worked with over the years. You truly make or break a pet’s vet experience 🖤

I absolutely treasure being an advocate for your pet that can’t speak. I love holding their paws as they wake up for anesthesia. I adore swooning over the old and scruffy pets as much as the kitten and puppies (I actually love the old ones more - sorry 🤷🏼‍♀️) and I always feel honored that I get to be a comfort to the ones passing the rainbow bridge 🌈

I know bringing your pets to the vet can be extremely scaring and a trusting experience. We vet techs love your babies more than you’ll ever know. Some of them we still fondly talk about for years.

So, reach out to your pet’s Vet Techs this week and show them some appreciation for the emotional damage, traumatic experiences, worked-through lunches, and late night stays after hours so your pet can be taken care of ✨

One of the reasons I chose this job is because I love helping people. I love taking care of those around me. I want you to feel special, because you are ✨

When I’m present for capturing your wedding day I will be your biggest fan, your hype queen. I’ll tie your shoes, bustle your dress, fan the back of your neck because your sweating 😅

💛 Love is serendipitous 🖤

There are billions of people in the world and you’ll probably meet thousands of humans throughout your life, but somehow we still say “I choose to build my life with you”

These two met on a magical night where A was spending Thanksgiving at a bar in Portland and M just happened to be working that evening. They kindled up a conversation and to be honest, the rest was history.

Now they are committing their lives with one another and going on their best adventure yet, together.

I think that’s pretty damn magical ✨

I was so honored to be apart of your special wedding day, back in the place you first met and at one of the spots you ventured on early in your relationship. Cheers to you A + M, your love has been so incredibly sweet to witness!

It’s October, so of course I’m obligated to post one of my dreamiest fall elopements. YALL ARE SLEEPING ON OLYMPIC NAT’L PARK

Not only is it widely diverse in sceneries and has smaller crowds than surrounding National Parks, but it also has a fantastic autumn. This was photographed the 🍂first week in November🍂

Crazy that the colors were still popping then right?

When you start planning your wedding a million ideas will come to you. It can feel overwhelming. Your plans will shift, things won’t always be exactly how you envisioned them — that’s just how it is being human 🤷‍♀️

BUT at the end of your day, this is your special day regardless. Soak it up! Be present. Let go of your worries. Breathe.

This is the day you are marrying your best friend, soulmate, forever partner — whatever you are to one another and all the love you share 🖤

These two gorgeous goofballs were SO lovely to capture on the Oregon Coast this week. They truly soaked up every minute of their day and spent it laughing, hugging, and celebrating with their families and DOG (of course)

A little film drop today of what I’ve been up to so far this year! 📸

✨ Had the pleasure of making a local camping trip in Florence with Van Gachnang | WA + PNW Elopement Photographer where we hiked, napped, and road around on quads in the Oregon Sand Dunes

✨ Made an epic roadtrip with Oregon Elopement Photographer all the way down to San Francisco where we made an entire week of tide pooling for nudibranchs, enjoyed the city, backpacked through the Redwoods, and visited my new favorite Nat’l Park — Point Reyes!

✨ Had my lovely family come out to the Oregon Coast and showed them around where I live. I truly love playing host for my loved ones

✨ Caught LOTS of shad this season on the Columbia River Gorge with Jensen and our friends

✨ Made camping/fishing trips to Mt Hood National Forest

I’ve been experimenting a lot more with my film cameras and rolls, trying to nail down my style and it’s been incredibly fun. As of right now, all my packages come with complimentary film shots until I’ve mastered this new art!

That’s my summer for now, but you’ll see new film drops when more adventures are developed 😊

Summing up an elopement day, especially as rad as this one, is so hard to fit into 20 slides! 🖤🤘

Most people scoff at those who choose to elope, let alone those who choose to have an all-day adventure with 1 photographer and 2 videographers in tow — but these two understood the value of having a day that is completely YOURS and didn’t settle for less.

We spent the day getting them jazzed up, enjoying their epic airbnb, and hiking around forests in Mount Hood. It was a true honor to show them this magical place for their first time to Oregon 🥹

If that wasn’t bad ass enough in itself, we also got a massive heat wave with 95 degree weather in the mountains and still hiked hours in their wedding attire to a serene waterfall. I completely admire their determination to go after their wedding goals!

Feeling so incredibly honored to have worked with you A + N, you seriously are some incredible humans 🖤
