END OF SUMMER BASH is almost here!

🫴🏼 Join us Saturday, September 19th, at The Nexus Tattoo Studio for a full day and night of music, creativity, community, and fun in Vancouver.

⏰ From 12 PM–6 PM, bring the family out for daytime activities, kids games, a kids costume contest, a stilt walker, vendors, food, live barbering, tattoo workshops, raffles, prizes,and LED shows.

Then the night turns up with Chaach Ashlie McDonald PSYLOSUB KiKi Alvarez ethan and Tony Laboy plus an adult costume contest, a nighttime LED show, and fire shows throughout the evening.

Sometimes you don't need a new photo, you just need a new perspective. 🖤 I revisited this older shot from Astoria that I used to push aside because it just didn't work back then. Day N' Night: End of Summer Bash 🌅🌙

Get ready to dance the day and night away at the ultimate end-of-summer celebration hosted by The Nexus Tattoo Studio! We are bringing our community together for an action-packed, high-energy event featuring a diverse lineup of EDM music, local vendors, art, entertainment, and interactive experiences.

Location: The Nexus Tattoo Studio & Private Back Parking Lot, 3320 E 4th Plain Blvd, Vancouver, WA 98661

Schedule:
12:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Family-Friendly Daytime Festivities
6:00 PM – 12:00 AM: 21+ Nighttime Party (Strictly enforced)

After Hours: Exclusive late-night studio session for those keeping the party going!

Whispers of a lost time. The desert holds secrets. ✨🌬️

The plane is the fuselage of a Beechcraft C-45G Expeditor (a military variant of the twin-engine Beechcraft Model 18). It rests in the Amargosa Desert just outside Beatty, Nevada.

May 28, 1977, the local brothel (then known as Fran’s Star Ranch, later Angel’s Ladies) organized a publicity stunt. They painted a large star with a mattress in the center on the desert floor. Any skydiver who could jump from the plane and land directly on the mattress would win a free night at the brothel.

Sitting right along the highway between Las Vegas and Tonopah, about a 2-hour drive northwest of Las Vegas. The wreckage is visible right off the side of the road near the former brothel site.

The Beechcraft flew in from Davis, California, to launch the event. However, on the final approach, one of its engines failed. The plane lost altitude, struck power lines, and crash-landed into the desert dirt.Rather than hauling the wreckage away, the brothel owners decided to lean into the mishap. They dragged the plane near their roadside sign to use as an eye-catching advertisement.

Though the brothel closed down years ago, the wreckage remains a famous roadside attraction. Over the decades, passing travelers, street artists, and road-trippers have covered the plane in layers of vibrant graffiti, tags, and stickers.

Did you know Peninsula Park was actually Portland’s first public rose garden way back in 1912? Honestly, taking in 5,000+ roses in full bloom hits differently when golden hour rolls around. 🌹✨
