I have yet to do an about me post and thought now is as good of time as any! So, without further adieu...
Hi there!! My name is Kristin and it is so nice to meet you!!
I had originally started becoming interested in photography around the time of my wedding. I had an amazing wedding photographer, who worked with her husband, and they were just so incredible to work with. I fell in love with their work, their personalities and their profession. I thought, how great is it to work with your husband, shooting weddings or other happy events for a living, and be able to love what you do. At the time, I was still bartending for a living and hadn't established a career, so it was very appealing to me, but that was about as far as it went at that time.
Fast forward, just a little bit, not too far....and STOP! Brian and I were married, and we were pregnant within the first few months of being newlyweds. Loving maternity photos, I sought out a maternity/newborn photographer. A friend of mine's roommate to the rescue. She took, THE MOST amazing images and although it took me over two years to pay for some prints, it was worth it. My family wall is my most prized possession in my home right now. She was wonderful with Grayson and once again, I started finding myself infatuated with photography.
I have since found a career I love, working for Southern New Hampshire University in admissions. I have been with SNHU for 3 years and without them, wouldn't be where I am today. I am able to take advantage of my benefits and earn a degree, thus helping me work towards my passion as a photographer. My plan has always been to do this part time in the evenings and weekends. So now, here we are, my son is now about to turn three. I have been working towards my photography degree for a while now, getting ready to enter my last year, until I can earn my diploma with a BA in Digital Photography. I have learned so much and still have so much to learn, but this passion of mine is blossoming and I can't wait to see where my future in photography will lead.
