The fifth poster in my Gates series is finally finished: The Gates of Portsmouth.

Over the past several months I've photographed gates throughout Portsmouth in every season—from waterfront entrances and garden gates to snowy farm roads and historic stone walls. What started as noticing interesting gates during my travels around town has turned into a collection that captures a little bit of Portsmouth's character and charm.
This is the fifth completed poster in the series, and I think it may be my favorite so far.

✨ New Release ✨

After Garden Gates, Gates on the Point, and Newport Gates, I'm excited to share the next piece in the collection:
The Gates of Portsmouth

Some gates are grand. Others are quiet and weathered, tucked along back roads, farms, shorelines, and neighborhoods that many people pass every day without noticing.

This piece is a collection of some of the unique gates I've discovered while exploring Portsmouth with my camera. Every gate has a story, and together they create a portrait of a town that is both rural and coastal, historic and ever-changing.

Thank you to everyone who has been following along with this project and encouraging me to keep going. ❤️

I'm excited to share the third release in my Gates Collection: The Gates of Newport.
What started as a simple photography project has slowly turned into something much bigger. Over the years, I've found myself stopping for beautiful gates all over Aquidneck Island—sometimes while heading to a client, sometimes while exploring back roads, and sometimes because the light was just too perfect to pass by.
Each gate has its own personality. Some are grand and elegant, some are weathered by time, and others are tucked away where most people would never notice them. Together, they tell a story about Newport's history, architecture, gardens, and coastal charm.
This poster follows my earlier releases, Garden Gates and Gates on the Point, and continues my goal of documenting the unique details that make this island such a special place to call home.
I'd love to know which gate is your favorite.
Thank you to everyone who has encouraged this project along the way. Seeing people enjoy these images has motivated me to keep exploring and creating.

Over the past few months I’ve been photographing gates all over Aquidneck Island — the hidden garden gates, stone walls, coastal entrances, farm paths, and little tucked-away corners most people drive past without noticing.
What started as a few photos has slowly turned into an entire “Gates of Newport” poster collection, and this is the first one I’m sharing:
“The Country Gates of Newport”
I’ve realized each area has its own personality — some collections feel coastal, some gilded and historic, others quiet and pastoral like this one.
Still building the full series, but prints of this first poster are now available, with more collections coming soon.
