Some speakers don't just deliver a presentation; they command the entire room. Capturing Steve Turner's talk about "Bringing Back the Trades" at TEDxPortsmouth was an absolute highlight. As a corporate photographer, my goal is never just to look at the stage—it's to capture the exact split second where that raw, human passion connects with an audience.

Huge respect to Steve and the Bring Back the Trades, Inc. crew for the vital work they are doing to fund scholarships for the next generation of skilled trades professionals.

When Joe, the owner of Peak Power, won a free brand shoot at the NHHBA golf tournament last year, I could tell he was a little skeptical. He wasn't entirely sure what an electrician crew would do with a professional photo session, and he actually waited almost a full year before finally giving it a shot.

Fast forward to a rainy morning in Derry, NH. I showed up to find Joe and his crew ready for anything—complete with hot coffee and breakfast sandwiches waiting for me.

Because of the downpour, we had to get creative, spending an hour and a half dodging raindrops to capture a mix of clean team assets and candid, behind-the-scenes workflow. In the end, we had an absolute blast, the photos turned out incredible, and now Joe is already planning our next session out in the field.

If you're hesitant about updating your company's visuals or don't know where to start, you don't have to wait for a golf tournament raffle. Let's grab some coffee and map out a session that actually feels like your brand.

Cameras are smart, but they still get tricked by a cupcake. 🧁

Because of the bright white frosting, the camera’s internal meter panicked and wanted to heavily underexpose the scene. It left me with a flat, gray, miserable RAW file.

But knowing how a camera behaves is only half the battle. The real value is knowing how to shoot intentionally to preserve data, and then using expert post-processing to recover the vibrant, crisp, premium asset you see first.

(Oh, and fun fact: the table wasn't actually blue. 😉 Swipe left to see the raw test shot!)

When you hire a professional photographer, you aren’t just paying for someone to click a shutter. You’re paying for the technical and creative expertise that bridges the gap between what the camera sees and what your brand deserves.

Last week's CreativeMornings Portsmouth event with Crystal Paradis-Catanzaro was a fantastic morning for our local creative community.

As the Director of Strategic Communications at the New Hampshire Women’s Foundation and the founder of Feminist Oasis, Crystal shared an insightful perspective on bridging the gap between creative roots—like English and photography—and local civic advocacy. It was great hearing about her journey through public service on the Somersworth City Council and her ongoing dedication to Seacoast community organizing.

I captured a gallery of moments from the morning. You can view and download all of the event photos here: https://adobe.ly/4uq6gTP

Easily one of the most fun events I've ever shot and attended! TEDxPortsmouth felt less like a standard corporate conference and entirely like a great party.

The full gallery is officially live—packed with raw, unfiltered community energy, backstage laughs, and moments you completely missed while watching the stage.

They say hormones are like a fingerprint—everyone is unique. So why should a wellness clinic look like a generic hospital room?

For Jessica and Anna at The Vital Elements, the goal was to capture an environment that feels as personalized as their medical approach. This isn't just a desk; it’s where science meets a holistic lifestyle.

As a photographer, I don't just "take" pictures; I make them by seeing the intention before the camera even comes up. We wanted this space to look like the "New England grit meets modern wellness" reality that it is—light that isn't just accepted, but negotiated with to feel authentic.

Because when your brand’s message is that "one size does not fit all," your imagery better back that up.

Energy is easy to feel, but hard to frame.

Gyms are chaotic environments—fluorescent overheads, moving bodies, and a lot of visual "noise." My goal during this session wasn't just to take a photo of a workout, but to capture the quiet focus between the reps.

By managing the depth of field and timing the shutter to the peak of the movement, we strip away the distraction of the background. What’s left is the real story: the connection between the coach’s eye and the athlete’s form.

At Kevin Edge Photography, I don't believe in "staged" fitness. I believe in high-effort production that stays out of the way so the work can speak for itself.

If your brand is built on sweat and discipline, you need visuals that look as strong as your results. Let’s capture the real thing.

The new Winter Holben offices in Kittery. Mid-winter isn't always the easiest time to shoot, but deadlines are always met, so I tried to create a little light and color on an otherwise dark and dreary day. Pretty happy with how it came out!

Great Bay Oysters, grilled with a garlic butter sauce from Nina Parrot at Fifth Flavor Catering on a "not as sunny as it looks" afternoon in Rye. Gotta love those photoshop filters. And the oysters were delicious!
