Yesterday the USS Massachusetts Commissioned in Boston 🇺🇸

History was made in Boston Harbor as the USS Massachusetts (SSN-798) was officially commissioned into the United States Navy, marking the arrival of one of the most advanced submarines in the fleet.

This Virginia-class fast-attack submarine represents the cutting edge of naval capability—built for stealth, intelligence gathering, and precision strike missions. Powered by nuclear energy and equipped with advanced weapons systems, it is designed to operate anywhere in the world, largely undetected.

The commissioning ceremony was a powerful moment of tradition and pride, bringing the submarine to life in front of sailors, families, and supporters in a city deeply connected to America’s maritime history.

As the newest vessel to carry the name Massachusetts, it honors a long legacy while stepping into the future of naval warfare.

A proud day for the Navy—and for Massachusetts.

North Hampton Structure Fire

North Hampton Fire & Rescue accompanied by local departments

FOR IMMEDIATE Thanks to North Hampton Fire Department

On Sunday, March 15, at about 6:40 p.m.

Upon arrival, crews observed a garage engulfed in flames with extension into the home. Crews immediately began an aggressive attack on the fire, declaring a first alarm for additional assistance. The fire was brought under control at approximately 8 p.m.

All occupants of the home evacuated before firefighters arrived, and no injuries were reported. Multiple pets were still in the residence upon arrival. Crews conducted a search and removed two cats from the home. One cat suffered extensive injuries and did not survive.

Mutual aid was provided at the scene by the Hampton Fire/Rescue, Rye Fire & Rescue, Greenland NH Fire Department, City of Portsmouth New Hampshire Fire Department, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Newington Fire Department, Dover Firefighters IAFF L1312 and East Kingston Fire Department.

Station coverage was provided by the Hampton Falls Fire Department (Official), Seabrook Professional Fire Fighters - Local 2847 IAFF, and Epping Fire & Rescue

North Hampton Police Department assisted with traffic control on scene while crews worked.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by North Hampton Fire & Rescue.

**Rye, NH | 4th Alarm Structure Fire**

On February 26th, multiple Seacoast fire departments responded to a 4th alarm structure fire at 50 Red Mill Ln in Rye.

The fire was reported just before 8:30 a.m., with Rye Fire & Rescue arriving within minutes to find fire impacting the first two floors of a large, historic home. The occupants had safely evacuated prior to crews arriving.

North Hampton Fire responded mutual aid and arrived second on scene, encountering fire on the C side of the home. Crews conducted primary search operations and deployed a secondary line to assist with fire suppression.

Due to the size of the building and the volume of fire, the incident was escalated to a 4th alarm, bringing in numerous mutual aid departments from across the Seacoast, including Hampton and Epping units.

Incidents of this magnitude highlight the critical role of the Seacoast Chiefs Mutual Aid system. Large-scale fires like this require coordinated operations involving fire suppression, water supply, ventilation, and search efforts, ensuring no single department faces these emergencies alone.

The 27th Annual Jared Coones Memorial Pumpkin Run, held in Olathe, Kansas, once again brought together an incredible community of kind-hearted individuals united in support, remembrance, and generosity. This year’s event welcomed over 2,300 runners and walkers, all joining together to honor loved ones and celebrate the spirit of community. Through the collective efforts of participants, sponsors, and volunteers, the 2025 Pumpkin Run successfully raised over $10,000 to benefit local families and charitable causes.

🔥✈️ We were blown away by the F-35A Lightning II Demo Team lighting up the skies over New Hampshire at Thunder Over New Hampshire 2025! The power, the stealth, the agility — from high alpha loops to weapons-bay door passes, the display was nothing short of jaw-dropping. Huge thanks to Major Melanie “Mach” Kluesner and the entire demo team for showing what it means to fly the next generation of airpower.

Massive shoutout to the 157th Air Refueling Wing, Pease ANG, the show organizers, all the volunteers, and everyone who came out in spite of the weather. Your energy made it an unforgettable weekend. 👏
