Some moments are simply unforgettable.
A few weeks before this evening, he reached out with a plan. We chose the location, talked through the timing, and I found a place to quietly hide so she would never know I was there.
As they walked toward Nubble Lighthouse, the sun was going down. The light was incredible, the ocean was calm, and then he asked the question that would change both of their lives.
She was completely caught off guard.
The look of surprise on her face, pure shock really, followed by happy tears and the biggest smile, was one of those moments that can't be staged. It was real, emotional, and such an honor to witness from behind my camera.
Congratulations to these two on your engagement! Thank you for trusting me to capture the beginning of your next chapter. I hope every time you look back at these images, you're transported right back to that beautiful summer evening in York, Maine.
