🍂 WHAT TO WEAR FOR FALL FAMILY PHOTOS 🍂

Fall photos are coming and if you’re staring at everyone’s closet wondering, “Okay… but what do we actually WEAR?" I’ve got you. 🤎

The goal isn’t for everyone to perfectly match. Instead, choose a coordinated color palette with warm, earthy tones that complement all those gorgeous fall colors.

✨ Think:
• Cream, beige & oatmeal
• Rust, terracotta & burnt orange
• Olive & sage
• Mustard & warm golden tones
• Brown, camel & tan
• Dusty blues & deep purples

A few tips:
🍁 Start with one outfit you LOVE and build everyone else around it.
🍁 Mix textures like knits, denim, corduroy, linen, and cozy layers.
🍁 Avoid everyone wearing the exact same color.
🍁 Neutrals are always a safe bet and photograph beautifully.
🍁 Add interest with sweaters, jackets, boots, scarves, or subtle patterns.
🍁 Most importantly, choose clothes that let your family move, snuggle, and actually be yourselves!

And remember, you don't have to dress “fancy” for family photos. Some of my favorite images come from families who look like themselves, just a little more put together. 🥰

Save this for when you’re planning your fall session, and send it to the person in your family who is currently stressing about what everyone is going to wear. 😂🍂

There’s something incredibly special about getting to capture the biggest moments for the people you love. 🤍

I had the honor of being invited to capture my cousin’s elopement and it was absolute perfection. No big production. No flashy moments. Just us, their love for one another, and the most stunning sunset as the backdrop.

And because these two know how to make a moment memorable, they ended the night with a quick plunge to seal the deal on forever 😂🤍

I’m so thankful that I get to capture moments like these, especially for people who mean so much to me. Being trusted with their memories was such an honor, and I’ll be forever grateful I got to be there to witness the beginning of this next chapter.

It’s pretty special when your clients slowly become people you genuinely love getting to see year after year 🤍

I’ve been taking photos of this couple for years now, and what started as a simple mother-daughter mini session turned into something so much more. I’ve had the privilege of watching them grow and make so many memories together, and I’m so grateful I’ve gotten to witness it all through my camera.

And now they’re getting MARRIED next year! 🥹💍

I can’t even put into words how excited I am to be there for this next chapter. After photographing so many seasons of their lives, getting to capture the moment they officially seal their happily ever after feels incredibly special.

Here’s to the next chapter, the biggest celebration yet, and a whole lot more memories to come 🤍✨

Some sessions are pure magic, and this was one of them ✨

I had so much fun celebrating sweet Oakleigh as she gets ready to turn 3! We set up the cutest little tea party with all of her favorite stuffies, and of course she came dressed as her favorite princess, Elsa. Watching her pour tea, giggle with her furry friends, and completely embrace the magic of being three made this session so special.

These are the moments I love capturing most, the little details that tell the story of who they are right now. One day those favorite stuffed animals may be tucked away on a shelf, but these memories will always bring you back to this sweet season.

As summer starts winding down, here's a little reminder for all the parents out there 🤍

We're so busy making it through the days that we rarely stop to realize we're living the moments we'll one day miss. Between the endless snack requests, late bedtimes, sunscreen, bike rides, popsicles, vacations, and "Mom, watch this!"... it's easy to feel like we're just trying to keep up.

But before we trade swimsuits for backpacks and settle back into school routines, take a few quiet moments to reflect on this summer.

What made your kids laugh the hardest?
What adventure will they still be talking about months from now?
What ordinary moment turned into one you'll never forget?

Those are the memories that matter. Those are the moments they'll carry with them long after summer ends.

I'm especially looking forward to doing exactly that myself. I'm taking a little break at the end of the month and before my busiest season begins with fall family sessions. I'm excited to soak up these last few weeks with my own family, slow down a little, and make a few more memories before life gets busy again.

Here's to one more sunset, one more ice cream run, one more backyard adventure, and one more excuse to stay outside just a little longer.
