Rising women.
Happy International Women’s Day.
Remember when people used to say things like, «you’d be so much prettier if you’d smile?» As if that was a young girls role.....to look pretty and pretend she is happy 24/7.

I’d like to think we are ALL clear on the fact that young women have very powerful ideas, thoughts, emotions and need to be heard and taken seriously. Those who don’t, honestly, just might be eaten alive;)

Deep in the Cascades. So grateful to do the photography for my dear friends at Boudreaux Cellars. This is a boutique, family winery that was hand built by the wine makers up the Icicle Canyon where they produce their exquisite and award winning wines. Their fall wine release party for wine club members was quite the decadent autumn day up the Icicle River. Pearl Django

A favorite from my recent EA WA trip. Hazel and I had finished picking (and eating) about 1000 strawberries and this light caught my eye as we were headed back into to the cabin. Love my mountain home and people in Leavenworth.

TODAY—I am sharing a few of my favorites from a photo shoot with my dear friend, Keely Graham Newsom and her sweet daughter. Working with Keely was a dreamy day. We shot on location at Boudreaux Cellars, the winery in which Keely is the assistant wine maker aka Bou Jou. After our morning session with the crazy beautiful light filtering thru the logs and bouncing off stone....Keely’s dad, Rob Newsom, (Boudreaux himself) treated us to Southern Style homemade lunch by the river with a gorgeous pour of Boudreaux’s legendary cab.
