I'm always working to provide FREE resources to our special needs community, and one of the ways I do that is business networking!

Most Wednesday mornings you can find us at one of our local networking groups!

Captured yesterday by a local photographer / social media guru Jeff D. Smith II of Smitty Socials , who is also in my networking group snapped a photo of me explaining why we need business sponsors and how much we need them!

That's how the majority of this business is run, so I can continue to provide FREE services to our special needs community!

With that being said a BIG THANK YOU to our current sponsors :

Haven Chiropractic & Wellness
The Prosperity Lounge
The Guest List
The Barn at Timber Trails
Rocky Top Vitality
Dorky Dad 3D Printing Shop
Mock & Mule
BeLocal Of K-Town

Your support means everything!

If you are a local Knoxville business I'd love to chat about sponsorships and what that means for your business & mine!

Let's impact the community together!

We teased you about a rebrand and it's more than a new logo design!

We’re growing!

If you’ve been here for a while, you know Abiding Faith Photography has always been about more than just pictures.

Photography opened the door, but my heart has always been to serve, encourage, and make people feel seen.
That’s why I’m so excited to introduce the next chapter:

Wonderfully Made

We’ll still be doing photography, with Portraits with Purpose remaining at the very heart of what we do — providing free portraits for special needs individuals and families and celebrating their stories.

But we’re also expanding into sensory resources, creative products, inclusive art experiences, community events, encouragement, and more with ....

Wonderfully Made : The Shop ™ - Our Store
Wonderfully Made : Sensory Products ™- Our Products
Wonderfully Made : Creative Studio ™ - Creative Classes
Wonderfully Made : Stories & Sensory Play™ - weekly fun for the littles & parents!

This rebrand feels like a better reflection of what this has been becoming all along.

Same heart.
Same faith.
Just a bigger purpose. 💙

I’m so excited for you to see what’s coming next.
Welcome to Wonderfully Made. 🦋

Something new is coming…

A new chapter. A fresh look. The same heart behind it all.

Over the past few months, God has been placing something special on my heart, and I’m so excited to finally begin sharing it with you.

This isn’t just a rebrand. It’s a deeper purpose. A bigger vision. And a beautiful reminder that every person deserves to be seen, valued, and celebrated.

The name may be changing… The colors may be changing… But the heart behind what we do? That will always remain.

Something beautiful is coming soon.

Are you ready to see what’s next? 👀

Important Announcement -

I want to take a moment to explain an important change I’m making here at Abiding Faith Photography.

Moving forward, I will no longer be publicly posting children’s faces on this business page.

This decision comes after recent court rulings and growing concerns about how artificial intelligence can be used to create harmful images of children.

One recent federal appeals court ruling involved AI-generated images of minors and raised serious questions about whether our current laws are keeping up with the technology. While that ruling did not make it legal to use real children’s photos to create abusive images, it highlighted just how complicated—and concerning—this issue has become.

We are also seeing cases where AI has been used to alter images of real children into inappropriate or abusive content.
And as a photographer, that is something I cannot ignore.

I believe children deserve to have their images protected. I believe parents deserve to know that the photos they entrust to us are being handled with care.

And I believe that protecting a child’s privacy should matter more than getting likes, shares, or engagement on a business page.

So, even though I may still have permission to share an image, I am choosing to be more intentional about what I put online.

You may still see beautiful photography, artwork, behind-the-scenes content, and other ways we celebrate the families we serve—but I will no longer be publicly exposing children’s faces on this page.

This is not about judging parents who choose to share their children’s images. It is about making a decision for my business that I believe is in the best interest of the children and families I serve.

Our children deserve to be celebrated.
But they also deserve privacy, dignity, and protection.
And that is something I will always stand behind.

Thank you for understanding and for continuing to support Abiding Faith Photography and our mission of serving special needs families with portraits, encouragement, and purpose.

September is Deaf Awareness Month!

Hi, I’m Kelly, the owner of Abiding Faith Photography.
Many of you might not know that I am Deaf/Hard of Hearing. I communicate through spoken English and American Sign Language (ASL), which I practice primarily with my family as I continue to learn.

About four years ago, I began noticing changes in my hearing. A medical evaluation confirmed substantial progressive hearing loss, and I learned that I will eventually become completely deaf. Navigating this journey has given me deep insight into the daily realities facing our community—as well as the systemic barriers that urgently need to change.

If I could reform the system to create a more equitable world for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, I would start here:

Universal access to hearing technology: Hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and speech-generating technology should be fully covered at zero out-of-pocket cost for both children and adults, regardless of insurance status or income. (Like many others, I currently go without the hearing aids I need due to prohibitive costs.)

ASL integrated into standard K–12 education: Teaching American Sign Language in elementary, middle, and high schools would tear down communication barriers early and make everyday connection truly accessible to everyone.

Losing my hearing has reshaped how I view the world, but it has only sharpened my eye behind the lens. Photography is visual storytelling at its core, and it reminds me every day that connection goes far beyond sound.

Thank you for supporting my small business and taking the time to learn a bit more of my story. Let’s spend this month listening, learning, and advocating for a more accessible world.
