Special announcement: 9 WHOLE YEARS OF MYAH MOBBS PHOTO CO! 🤍🤍🤍
I can’t hardly believe it. In the blink of an eye (or the shutter of a camera), so much has passed. Thank you Jesus. Thank you to everyone who has been with me since I first picked up a camera in 2016. I had no idea where a small hobby would take me.
I don’t want to sugarcoat anything for those who have followed me for years. It hasn’t been easy by any means; this job is demanding in a lot of ways. Lots of hours spent on the road traveling to clients and events, the countless hours of work year-round, shooting, culling, editing, not to mention sacrificing time away from family or other passions to chase that next booking. It can get to be a lot, especially if you have a family at home and another full-time job during the week. In truth, I am exhausted mentally and physically. People tend to think wedding photographers are miracle workers in a lot of ways. In truth we all struggle. Nobody is perfect and nothing will ever will be perfect. That is why we need Jesus to keep going. He gives us the strength to push through every day, and I do my very best to be grateful for how far He has brought me.
I’ve spent a lot of time in personal prayer and contemplation for a few weeks. After 2026, I will be closing my books for a while. A break is very much overdue. God is telling me it’s okay to hit the pause button: I’m ready to live my life to the fullest in another way, and put my passion for photography on hold. If you have already booked a wedding with me for next year, I truly look forward to closing a long chapter in my life knowing I’ve given it my all. Lifelong friends & memories have been made, and that’s what I’ll always hold most dear. Thank you, again. God bless. ✝️
