I think that every year that Rodney and I were together...five years dating and fifty-nine years of marriage ... we exclaimed how much we loved fall. Mostly it was the colors of the trees, but in many ways just the feel of the air overwhelmed us. I went for a long walk yesterday and became entranced with the trees and bushes along the way. My only real problem of living in a retirement community is the lack of seeing birds in our Courtyard...where my windows look out. (No, only real problem is that Rodney isn't here...but that is another story.) I looked out my bedroom window this morning and was stunned at the colors of the trees that I could see. I suppose that beautiful color at times taking the place of birds isn't too bad. [ 31 more words ]
